How well will my improvised tent work.

I agree I was out of line there. I take a few tokes and suddenly I am a dirt expert. Really, the soil looks fine. The tent itself should have been the focus (which you did a good job on by the way) and I do apologize Roylahey.

That's too bad. Then again, sometimes you can make some pleasant discoveries blindly trying something. That Auto strain sounds really interesting. I imagine it smells fantastic and nowhere near what the namesake implies. But, you never know. I haven't heard of Useful Seeds, but I'll look into...

Would love some tips and advice

If you have the money, you seem to be a good candidate for a grow tent (indoor growing). I don't personally think having a cannabis plant outside (even in AZ) at those temps is a good idea without insulation of some kind. Some strains are heartier than others, though.

How well will my improvised tent work.

The homemade tent certainly looks the part. I think you did a good job with the Mylar walls. In my factory-made tent, the floor is also reflective, though. It might not hurt to add some Mylar there, even though much of the real estate is covered by the pots. I agree that soil looks...

"What do I have to lose" is definitely the question which came to mind when I found my bagseed. I checked my refrigerator. It looks like all I have currently are 3 Northern Lights Auto seeds, 2 Amnesia Haze Auto seeds, and 1 Blueberry Auto seed. There are a handful of strains I am currently...

Wow really? That makes me nervous! I was planning on leaving a few male flowers in-tact with hopes of intentionally pollinating a bud or two. But, now I am wondering if I should seek and destroy on site. I am glad your bud seems decent though, despite what happened. If these are male flowers on...

I've pulled 2 ounces before from one untrained Auto-flowering plant under that single overhead light. That's without the supplemental gooseneck lamps. So, I really doubt that's how this will play out. This is a trained, 2' Photoperiod plant with light hitting all 10 tops, as well as the interior...

Until you mentioned it, for some reason it did not occur to me lousy lights = slow growth. I'll bet my veg time would have been faster too if I did something sooner also. I have done the "sampling" thing before with my White Widow Autos :weed: I think it's OK so long as you don't mind losing a...

Aside from losing a few fan leaves I'd rather not have due to over-defoliation, things have been smooth sailing. The basic Fox Farm nutes and molasses have been great. So, no nutritional deficiencies. Tons of mutations though, and like I mentioned, the occasional male flower. I didn't know you...

No. I had three other grows prior which were all Auto-flowers. I took a little break. Then, I jumped on the opportunity to try this as my first Photoperiod grow. In all, I've been at it for about two years.

Maybe next grow. The plant seems happy enough to me. In turn, I too am happy.

    Why Grow Auto-flowers?

What can I say. I really had a deep misunderstanding of things. I guess it's been so long since I grew Autos, I forgot how fast they really were. Some of the strains I grew were Amnesia Haze Autos too. So, I could see why those would take longer. I think I got that idea of the "2 week Veg"...

Hey guys, if anybody might be interested, I thought I would post an update of how the Wonka Bars bagseed plant is faring with the lighting upgrade. I think the photos really speak volumes about what's happening - some buds get purple light, others get full-spectrum Sun-like LEDs. What a mixed...

    Why Grow Auto-flowers?

Hello fellow growers, First and foremost, I do not intend to start a war here. I began my cannabis cultivation hobby growing Auto-flowering strains. But, now that I have grown a Photoperiod plant, I am scratching my head trying to figure out why anybody would want to grow Auto-flowering...

That's kind of you to be accepting like that. There are times I talk as if I have it all figured out (eg. my last post). But, truthfully I do have a lot of learning to do, like you mentioned in your previous post. I guess it will be a while before I really know if they're improving anything...

Monster cropping....would I be crazy to try cloning from this lady 8wks flower

My current grow is a bagseed also from a 1/4 oz of dank Wonka Bars I got from a dispensary. From my understanding, bagseeds are often genetic hermaphrodites (mine is). I figure you would know one way or another at this point with your grow. My hope is that my plant pollinates itself just enough...

    Potents fast autos???

Thanks for the information! I'll research those for my next run. I am still doing the "hair straightener rosin press" technique and have been looking for a flower that has more of the good stuff. The best yielder I have found so far for rosin is the Wedding Cake strain. But, I am sure there are...

I respect your opinion. These Amazon lights might not be the best choice. But, the mission was to illuminate the outer budsites that aren't getting enough light inexpensively. These gooseneck units may look tacky and be cheaply made. But, I personally think they are doing exactly what I want...

    Potents fast autos???

I know Autos are generally thought to be faster turn-around plants. Though, photoperiod strains can be flipped into flower whenever you want. That can mean very brief veg times. But, you're going to sacrifice yield. That Sea-of-Green suggestion above gets my vote. That way, you would have a...

    Broken stem

No problemo. Wow that's something else. Thanks for providing the additional photo. I wish I had the experience to tell you if she's going to be okay or produce as much. But, many of the people in this thread seem to think it can bounce back. I am thinking the plant might re-direct it's energy...
