How far along is it roughly? I made the mistake of not counting days.

Days don't matter. Breeder info is usually misleading or outright lies. Swolled cylaxes is the best way to judge ripeness.

I am very fussy about drying and curing. I always use my grow room to dry since it is climate controlled. I set my humidity to 65% and temp to 62%. These parameters usually allow me 12-14 days drying time. For the first 4 or 5 days the dehumidifier is running, then after that I am actually...

Starting to see quite a few people saying they didn't much care for the taste. Hopefully I can avoid this with some strict evironmental controls. I really don't want to spend 30+ weeks vegging and flowering something no one wants to smoke.

Transplant day. The lower leaves were getting a little yellow, so I figured it was time to start feeding them with some living soil. Give em the nutes they need to grow up big and strong.

A buddy of mine is gonna adopt two. They are too nice to just toss out.

Irrigation Direct - Link The link above is to my current irrigation system. I have it running off of my Trolmaster system and adjust the watering frequency based on soil moisture levels I see when checking with my finger ( not hi-tec but its pretty accurate). But when I am using the most...

Malawi Seedlings August 16th August 23rd I would have to say Ace Seeds vigor is great. I am really impressed with the results so far. They will probably need a transplant in 5-6 days.

Thanks for the info. I am going to try and stretch these out to 20+ weeks. I find even though buds appear to stop growing earlier, they continue getting denser and considerably heavier the longer a guy can stretch them out. My last crop was a 9-10 week strain and i took it to 13.5 weeks. After...

Sorry to hear about your dog buddy, I lost my English Bulldog last year too. It's hard when they go. I was very tempted to get some of their golden tiger but it was my first time running Ace gear so I kept my order small despite all the good reviews I had read. It is probably something i will...

OCD won't let me have it any other way. Just the little bit of spilled water in the flood table is bothering me. Lol

Planted my cover crop. It consists of alfalfa, crimson lentil, buckwheat, red clover & fenugreek. Then I covered it in wheat stalks I chopped up last fall. Gonna run the lights at 25%. This is giving the surface 225umol.

:D :D :D :D :D I guess the earthy was the DIRT. Lol I am in an 8'x8'x8' room. Currently, the seedlings are in my veg tent until they are big enough to go in the flowering room. But once they go into it they will be grown using the scrog method. Here is a picture of one of my past scrog grows.

My decision was more to try a landrace than Malawi itself. I haven't personally ever tried any landrace strains before since no one wants to grow strains with 20 week flowering times around here. When I chose this strain it was based on multiple reviews of people saying it was worth the wait...

Yeah, the breeder info says 15 weeks but I have yet to see accurate breeder info, they are usually out by 30% or more. My last crop zombie kush had a breeder recommended flowering cycle of 9-10 weeks, I took mine to 14 weeks and still had one plant that could have gone longer. Also from...

Please feel free to comment or ask questions. Ok, I'm gonna grow some Malawi by Ace Seeds. This strain has always been on my bucketlist of strains I would like to try one day but with a flowering cycle pushing 20 weeks, I just didn't have the time to run it through any of my grow rooms. But...

Sorry for the delay, I wanted it to cure for a week before giving any type of smoke report. I have grown this strain a few times before and this is one of the better grows I have had with it. The ash and burn are clean, light grey ash, smooth, when you light it up you smoke it to the very end...

Absolutely, it gets to be a bit much when she is rocking in mid to late veg. Train in the morning and by the evening they look like you haven't tucked a branch in a week.

Shit ton of air flow and a really good dehumidifier run by accurate, well placed sensors. I have grown this strain before and the first time I got one bud that had bud rot. I learned to keep the air dry and moving then. I mess up all the time but try to learn from it the first time.

I will definetly look into that. I don't use teas but I have been looking into them and might have to start.

Thanks for the kind words. I did top them once and had the lights on at 75% for the entire flowering cycle. I did adjust my height a few times maintaing 1250-1300umol with my par meter. I find anything over 1300umol and I start seeing nanners with these feminized seeds.
