    How are things looking?

I have cut them open in the past as I went through what you are going through now. Under 2xs magnification I reasoned them to be unfertilized ovaries. They had me worried also. They looked so big. Everything was fine with that grow.

    How are things looking?

Frankly I miss the pinhole burns in my shirts and the sound of seeds popping. The good old days before sinsemilla ruined everything!

Why are all oscillating fans garbage?

Because they are made in Asia. They have no EPA or DEC there. There is no pride in craftsmanship. Every corner is cut. They can dump manufacturing chemical by products right into their rivers and streams. They burn coal and our old tires for power. They are not a market economy so wages are low...

A borer in my a plant stalk.

Thanks for the input. The stalk above the hole is showing no signs of distress. No wilting on a hot day yet. I'll keep an eye on that. I'm well aware of what the borers do to my squash. So you say it ultimately wants to get all the way down and into the soil?

Hi, This hole was surrounded by frass. Something's in there. I'm sure there is a maggot making its way around inside the stalk. Any input appreciated!

Yeah! It's Bud Worm Season. Pics

Crazy Chester the followed me and he caught me in the bar ... I haven't had to spray buds. I get out there and spray it as soon as I see eighth to quarter inch long little inchworms. This is just as the pistals (white hairs) are coming up to start a bud. I'm never actually spraying the bud...

Remedies/preventing bugs eating veggies in outside vert garden

The asiatic brown beetles, they feed at night as do the earwigs. I go out after dark with one of those headlamps and a red cup with about a half inch of water and eight drops of any dishwashing detergent. That surfactant action kills them quickly and they do not escape the surface tension of the...
