I don't believe so. However, your friend might be referring to the tendency for Sativa-dominant strains to require longer flowering periods. Thus, the Indica might have more amber trichomes sooner. But, the Sativa might need more time to have the equivalent amount of amber trichomes.

To me personally, the plant looks pretty droopy. The leaves also look very light-colored. OP, are they really that color? Or is it your grow light doing that?
