Best LED for 1x3x3 veg chamber

I mean, it is overkill. 15Wsf is fine for veg. And 3x the cost of a couple of strips and driver. But I agree it would be easier and flexible enough for other uses down road.

that's true. 2 65s on dimmers would be super easy and flexible.

Best LED for 1x3x3 veg chamber

sorry been busy w work most of the day but I will follow up w a simple build parts list in a couple hours. I think a CMH would still be way too much light in a 3sf space. especially for veg. and considering he only has 3 ft of height I think heat would become an issue.

One side of Led hotter than the other x2

not sure if that is normal or not but def doesn't sound right. I've never tested on my HLG boards but almost sounds like there is thermal runaway w some part of the board. if you leave them on for a few hours does it continue to heat up? either way I would contact Meiju and see what they say.

strip led run hot or soft what layout

can't wait to see what those things do. I have a pretty cool design in mind using the 1 footers, been waiting for you to show us some magic before I buy more strips I have no business spending more money on. and whoever posted the Q strips - damn you I was trying to go to bed 20 mins ago and...

Best LED for 1x3x3 veg chamber

i think 2 hlg65s would be overkill for veg in that space. 90w would be enough for flower. a single 65W would be fine for veg imho. I've used a 65 in a 2x2x3 and had to dim it most of the time until they were big enough to handle it and by that time I put them into flower anyways. I think the...

Does a mother plant need a tent?

just opened for first time and looks like a standard CR2302 battery that is replaceable. so assuming the led still works once it does, these things can be reused many times!

Does a mother plant need a tent?

found these a couple months ago and bought a 5 pack. clones in rooters inside a box in a hot closet for a week were fine and rooted when I planted in soil. left the led in the box and forgot about it for a while and it was still on 5 weeks later...

Eating a small amount of earthworm castings!!! BENEFICAL PROBIOTICS? PARASITIC JUNGLE?

^^^^ 10000% ty. been trying to manage healthcare for my son and balance an "integrated" approach using both western medicine and naturopaths for the last 17 yrs While I get the argument that pharmaceutical industry is just in it for profit and doesn't care about natural remedies they can't...

Does a mother plant need a tent?

one of my homies has a cut that he's kept going since 99. the original breeder even lost it and had to get the cut back from him. no loss in vigor after multiple generations. I've got plenty of crosses from that plant and they are great. Not my favorite terps so I don't grow it by itself but...

    pro tip

my advice is to use a high quality light. but start small w a 2x2 or 2x4. That way you keep the costs down and environment manageable. Once you get it dialed you can buy a bigger tent and old one becomes your veg. don't waste $ on cheap lights get the best one you can afford. if you can't...

I need a warehouse ;) new tent will get about a weekish veg then I'll flip them. I prefer to grow a bunch of untopped plants as opposed to a few bushes. makes defol and getting into the tent easier. the full tent that I posted has 12 plants in it!

new tent is up and running. hydro shop was out of hoses and fittings I need for my master plan, so I'm just top watering for now. 3 different cuts of Pheno Addicts PDX Pop Rocks (LA Pop Rocks x Runtz). Popped 3 seeds and took cuts, this is the first test run to see how they do. #1 is 3 plants...

Anybody use a two 48” utility shelf’s thick piece of plywood and a flood table in a gorilla 4x8 to nearly double yield potential?

I second this. More trouble than it's worth. Make sure if you do it that the lights mounted on the lower shelfs are totally waterproof. Humidity spikes and airflow are the 2 biggest issues. If I had a warehouse or large greenhouse with 12 foot ceilings I would do it without question. In a...

Any alternatives to oscillating fans to cool led qb ?

I'm willing to accept it's the extra airflow helping get the heat out of the space faster. I'm not really concerned whether more wattage is used or not, like I said that was my guess as to what was happening. The o.g. question was how to drop the tent a few degrees, my answer was to point a PC...

Any alternatives to oscillating fans to cool led qb ?

not sure. maybe wherever missing socks end up? are you saying that you do not think adding active cooling has any effect on the temps of a tent? you are probably right, extra airflow is causing more air exchange or something. but in that closet in particular, there's no exhaust fan just a...

Any alternatives to oscillating fans to cool led qb ?

Just finishing up work. I did some Google searches trying to find an answer. Maybe I'm imagining there is some difference, but I swear I can measure it. For instance I have all my remote drivers mounted in my walk in closet right now. 2 circuits, 480W of drivers to each. If I don't run fans...
