As mentioned before, the wattage as displayed by a kill-a-watt does not change regardless of whether the driver was in or outside the tent.

Have you tried it yourself?

What change would you expect to see?

This what i did, totally works for a few degree drop. . ..aim your fan at your light but also in the same path as your inline fan filter. It will, basically, push the hot air from the light right toward the exit.
Yes, that absolutely would lower the tent temperature as the hottest air is being exhausted
I'm willing to accept it's the extra airflow helping get the heat out of the space faster. I'm not really concerned whether more wattage is used or not, like I said that was my guess as to what was happening. The o.g. question was how to drop the tent a few degrees, my answer was to point a PC fan at it. Solution worked to get OP to his target temp.
