    Peak/Off-peak elec price

I was searching for the difference in price between peak and off-peak hours and what those hours were. The difference was VERY surprising. According to their website: Peak (8am-9pm): 6.472 cents/ kWh Off-peak: .272 cents?/ kWh...

trimming yellow fan leaves good or bad ???

I usually give the yellow ones a little pressure to see if they're ready to go cause i don't like them getting into the water drainage and the top of the soil. If the plant's not ready to drop them, why cut them off?

fox farm users- lets hear it.

I like and use Fox Farm. To be perfectly honest up until a couple days ago i've been using straight Grow big during veg, and switching to Tiger Bloom for flower. Results have been good. I bought a jug of the big bloom a couple days ago and i plan on switching to the fox farm schedule. 2...

fox farm users- lets hear it.

basically the grow big is for veg and the tiger bloom is for flower. The big bloom is supposed to be used in conjunction with both. The others can be used with the grow big and tiger bloom. Check out the feeding schedule on foxfarmfertilizer.com and it will all make sense.

bub cloner: in or over water?

I know that you can do it either way. Either put it in the water, or over the water. I've been putting them in the water. I was at the hydro shop today and the guy- who seems to know a lot- said i should put them over the water. he said there would be less chance for rot, and said generally...

Nifty way to build walls/ reflect light.

Thanks guys. I glued some mylar to cardboard too. It just wasnt rigid enough. And it never was the right sizes. The insulation panels are thick enough that they wont break, but they're light enough to lift with two fingers. I love it. I literally rearrange them every few days to best suit the...

Nifty way to build walls/ reflect light.

I found that hanging mylar was such a PIA, it gets crinkled, and is impossible to clean. I stumbled upon this method by chance. it works good. You get those pink insulation panels from home depot. The ones i have are like 2.5x6. You take some aresol spray glue, spray it down and glue mylar to...

Does starting pot size make a difference in yield?

I'll chime in on this one. I agree with all the reasoning mentioned so far. But you have to remember that a little plants roots don't take up the whole pot. So when you water, the plant 'drinks' from right under the plant where the roots are and the other soil just stays saturated and isn't...

    Funny stem

Thanks for the replies guys!!!! OK, i put some more soil on top, so now you can't see the white part. God i hope it's not pythium. Thanks again for the replies! I was gettin pretty nervous.

    Funny stem

Yea but i'm really worried it might be the start of pythium. Why is it skinnier than the rest of the stem? even if it was under the soil line, wouldn't it be the same width of the soil line?
  17. C

    Funny stem

Not really. I transplanted it maybe 3 days ago. Maybe that part used to be under the soil line and after the transplant it got exposed?

    Funny stem
