What a FIMed finished lady looks like - pics

Hey Proph, think you could answer my question? I'm thinking of fimming my plants and want to know what you did afterwards to get only a few huge buds like that. Aloha

    An excuse for the landlord...

If the landlord already saw it as a woodworking shop then don't try to change his mind. Put a respirator around your neck and spray a bit of laquer on your workclothes. Tell him you just finished spraying your latest project and it will be a while before the garage is clear of fumes. Kindly...

What a FIMed finished lady looks like - pics

Wow, that's great. It looks like you did a lot of trimming as the plant grew, or is that shape from the initial topping?

    Feminized PPP SCROG. CFL-Veg & 400W HPS-Flower...comments welcome

I love the Day 39 Flower pic!! Been following for a while, looking great. Very inspirational. I was wondering what you would think of going with four plants next time instead of two to speed up your harvest time?

    Loft Closet Grow

OK,more research done and more questions to ask. Height is definitely going to be my biggest obstacle. I was thinking a cooltube would be a good hood to use because it is small enough to fit in the peak of the roof. How much clearance from the walls will I need? Is there anything I can line...

How do you get power in your closet??

Of course. I rewired the whole loft during renos. First time doing electrical and it turned out really well. Easier than I had expected it to be.

    cacti! who's got em?

I have a few cacti, no idea what kind though. Lost my 5 1/2 foot beauty trying to repot after a toddler mishap last summer. Had it for years. Still bummed about it. So happens I had another mishap with my baby girl and another cactus couple days ago; she pulled a branch off. I immediatly...

How do you get power in your closet??

Aloha Bicher-Babe! Just flip the one main breaker to the house while you're wiring (BIG switch at the top or side of the breaker box), then you don't have to worry about zapping yourself at all. Might take you a while to reset all your clocks afterwards but it's a bit more peace of mind for us...

    The wife said yes!

Cool! I had to convince my wife to let me too. Took years. The final straw was when I gave her an aproximate profit and promised to spend the first few crops on her. Can't wait to flip the switch! Aloha, Spicolli

DWC...How much air is too much air?

Right, the rigid tube would be easy to use, I was thinking of my difficulty with getting one of the flexible tubes to stay in place. Your setup looks good. Glad to hear from someone with experience using the limewood. So you prefer the curtain for maintenance and inert materials? I like the...

DWC...How much air is too much air?

No idea if they work bettter, but I doubt it. Sure they produce finer bubbles, but they are spread out over such a distance that it would be difficult to centre under the root ball. I'm going with the limewood. I have a big block already cut and drilled and ready to go. Limewood...

DWC...How much air is too much air?

This is what came up as the first result in a Google image search "aquarium air curtain".

DWC...How much air is too much air?

Well, there really wouldn't be any cleaning because you wouldn't be using the whole protein skimmer, unless you wanted to remove all your nutrients. If you were to use the limewood airstones or venturi / needle wheel drive to just create bubbles there would be virtually no maintenance. Been...

DWC...How much air is too much air?

OK, here's a link to a very basic air-driven skimmer, much like what I use: Saline Solutions Hooked On Protein Skimmer 30 at Big Al's Online and here's a pic of a venturi driven, in-sump unit that shows the bubble-saturated water column rising to the collection cup...

DWC...How much air is too much air?

In my reef tank I have a skimmer that runs a limewood airstone for the exact reasons mentioned; smaller bubbles, more dissolved oxygen, inrceased waste collection. HUGE improvement over any other airstone I have seen in my 20 plus years as a fishkeeper. I was going to post a question regarding...

    Loft Closet Grow

Cool, another passenger. Why would I need a mother? I don't know, seemed what nongreen was suggesting. I will need something to start the next crop which is why I asked the previous question. Lots of insulation in there! Guess I need to clarify. The room is in the top of my old 1 1/2 story...

    Loft Closet Grow

Thanks for the reply NGT, and that brings me to a question about scheduling, since I have no real experience there. Do I: a) set my clones and veg for a while until they fill that area (under 12") or b) take clones from a mother and put them right into flower? The space is a non-issue. The...

    Loft Closet Grow

First grow, looking for tips and advice BEFORE I make the mistakes. Built a closet in my attic/loft. Approx 5' x 5' x 5', but it's in the eaves so it is a triangular shape, 5' high at the left and next to no height at the right. Plan is to clone on the right with CFL's or strip fluoros...
