i agree my plants under floro lighting looks like that generally after about 3 days. You should keep your lights within a few inches of the plants.

what about the engineering and cost of having the extra heat and height in your grow room for the big boy lights? CFL's will benifet from just opening the doors to your room once or twice a day.

using outdoor soil.... cheap using (1) 40w floro...... funny cant find the answer to germination on a grow site......... PRICELESS

i only use them lightly during early stages of flowering

you want between 70-80F during daytime ( all stages except flowering) cooler obviously at night will happen but dont let it go below 60F some say it virtually stops growing above 85F....... others 95F 50-60rh is the proper range higher humidity for germ and seedling 40-50rh for flowering...

i use the same party cup setup and only water as needed ( about every 3 days till 2nd week or so). Just lift the cups and you'll be able to tell how light they are if they need watered again

warm garage temp is good i assume but make sure they arent directly on the concrete.... it wil be Alot cooler

another idea might be to just look at some light manufacturers specs on their growlights...... a 400w HPS light puts out something like 60,000+ lumens and is recommended to illuminate a space approximately 2x3'...... 60,000 lumens divided by 6sq/ft = 10,000 per sq/ft..... and so on for larger...

2500 lumens per plant is near the bare minimum a plant needs to survive. For "magazine cover" buds you need around 10,000 per plant. Somewhere around 7000-7500 per plant will give you something great to smoke. I use the straight out of the bag miracle grow indoor potting soil. Cant say its the...
