they're still young and in veg so just switch. just leave the light on then turn it off at whatever time u want the dark period then turn it on during light period and keep the cycle.

you'll need 18hr of light during veg. the yield depends on a lot of variables. put like a 1in layer of perlite on the bottom then mix soil and perlite on top of that. the looser the soil the better.
