I have gotten great results from my 400HPS. When I was using 2 150HPS they grew tall and lanky. With my 400 I am getting much more solid nuggs. I must admit that I really want to bump up to a 650 and get a conversion bulb for the 400 to use for veging.

About the tips of plants their is some reason I read a long time ago but I can't remember. This is most likely because it was not something I was going to try. Now for the mylar go with the 2mm not the one. The two is much stronger and you will be much more pleased with in the long run.

You should soak them for about 5 min in 5.5 to 6 ph water. Sometimes I take a pen and make the hole bigger to slide the root and seed into the cubes. Same thing with dirt too.

I must say, that is one fat little lady. I would start to trim her down some and get her ready for flowering. If it is indeed White Widow, then in time and lots of care she can come close to the photo you so desire to achieve. Take care of her and keep us updated.

I find that the 4in fit better in my small ebb flow. The only time I have had any trouble is in some of my first grows when I let the plants get to big and the 4in could not hold them up. The baskets fix this problem also. I am not sure if this is what you mean with your question.
