those bulges are the cell walls thickening up to support the weight of the heavy flowering branches that are about to come. also the cells bulge like that for ease of nutrient distribution. it kind of creates a better opening in the branch so nutrients can easily be delivered to your bud sites.

i can say one thing. even though the moon shines on my outdoor plants, they still go into sleep mode during the night. if you dont know what im talking about, to me sleep mode is when you look at the plants at night and it looks droopy like it hasnt seen any water for a couple of days...

yeah ive wired up a couple 20Amp circuits now and just have wall plugs. no more power strips for me anyway. just something that ive wondered about that i was reminded by the OP. but yeah i think a bit of non transparent tape over he little indicator light would do the trick.

ive wondered the same thing before. my surge protector power strip in my flower room has an orange "on" indicator light on it. but its never seemed to affect my flower cycle. its only about an inch by a half inch long square. but it doesnt seem to illuminate anything really.

in fact.. here's what i got going so far. they are under t12 6500k full spectrum 40 watt bulbs (2) normal shop light fixture. they are on 24 hours of light right now which i know is not optimal for bell pepper plants but they seem to be growing well enough for the time being. im sure...

im attempting to grow bell peppers from seeds that i bought at a local nursery. they seem to have the same needs temperature wise, and since i drain to waste and pot in separate containers i think im going to have some very happy bell pepper plants!
