    Amber Trichomes?

It seems that I keep getting mixed messages. Here's what I know: If sativas are considered the "up", active highs, and indicas are couchlock, then I want sativas or sativa doms. However, I had a hermie infect my last crop, and I therefore made hash out of it. I noticed that my #74 strainer bag...

    Amber Trichomes?

Hi WBD, Your reply came in just after I answered Priest's, but your response about picking a strain is right on. If you would, please review the strains I mentioned in my reply to Priest and let me know if you have any thoughts. I forget which, but some of the strains I chose have CBDs in the 8%...

    Amber Trichomes?

Thanks for your response, Priest. I am looking for a strain that allows me to be physically active and doesn't affect my memory. To that end, I am growing strains that have high CBD and CBN content, rather than THC. The strains I am growing are Shark Attack (Dinafem), Moby Dick (Green House)...

    Amber Trichomes?

Sorry, Dboy ...a lot of what people say flies right over my head. I've been that way for so long that, to avoid misinterpreting, I think I tend to analyze everything anyone says, and half the time that makes it worse. All the best, Bob

    Amber Trichomes?

High All, My plants are getting close to harvest -- all the trichomes are either clear or cloudy, and I have been reading lots of different information about when to harvest. My intention was to harvest when about 1/3 of the trichomes are amber, but I'd like to hear from some of the experts...

    Buds into Hash?

OK, I've read up on it. I have too much material to go the BTO route. BTW, since the bubble hash method uses water, is it necessary to dry the trim before doing it? thanx again, bob

    Buds into Hash?

Really? All of the cannabinoids are in the trichomes and there is none in the bud material itself? I did not know that. Thanx, Bob

    Buds into Hash?

Here's what I don't understand: All the research I've done tells me that the way to get hash from trimmings is to dry them out and then strain out the trichomes using ice cold water -- the bubble bag method. But I have what is pretty much bud material, rather than the typical leaf trimmings, and...

    Arizona Growers Thread

Interesting ...I just posted a reply that suggested that we all gather the courage to get together with the thought of maybe saving money on seed purchases, larger quantities of nutrients, and the like, and I suggested that we could all meet somewhere on a first name basis to discuss it and...

    Got Hermies ...Now What?

OK, I will go with ice hash, but since I hope this is the last time I will ever have to do this, I'm not going to set up a washing machine operation. Why is it called "bubble" hash? Do you have any suggestions as to the brand, number, sizes, etc. of the bags, and a good place to get them? Thanx...

    Got Hermies ...Now What?

Okay, not knowing any better, and acting before I got some of the later advice, I harvested everything yesterday. So, I guess I'm now in the hash business, which I've never done before. I would welcome any advice you could offer, and here are some specific questions I have: 1.) I have all the...

    Got Hermies ...Now What?

Well thanks, guys, for the advice. For the record, I have one plant each of 7 different strains (Vanilla Kush, White Widow, Blueberry, Mekong High, The Ultimate, Skunk #11, Orange Bud), and have to say the 2 from Barney's Farm -- VK and the Ultimate -- are a real disappointment. The VK plant is...

    Got Hermies ...Now What?

I have just discovered a hermie has fertilized my whole crop. I'm about 5 weeks into flower, that is, 4 weeks from harvest. Should I let the crop continue to grow and just accept that there will be seeds in all the buds, or harvest everything now?
