gh floragro (216) and silica blast

If you ware trying to get pH down, don't use silica. Silica generally raises pH. Yes you can use them both in a waterfarm. The main concern will be your PPMs and I'd suggest having some CalMag on hand just in case.

    2k DIY UnderCurrent 6XL - 4x8 Gorilla - Plushberry Grow

Look up Ez Stor 8 gallon on google. Container & Supply and U.S. Plastics should sell them. Those are the original buckets that Current Culture used to make their systems. You will have to paint them black however as they only are sold in white that I've found.

    Undecurrent DWC Plumbing Questions

I would highly discourage from using hose. The diameter is not big enough to produce a true undercurrent. There is a reason why they are designed the way they are, and it's about results, not taking the easy route. I just built my own UC 6XL modified replica, and the uniseals are not difficult...

    2k DIY UnderCurrent 6XL - 4x8 Gorilla - Plushberry Grow

I used standard 2" uniseals, with aquarium safe silicone sealant between the bucket and the uniseal. To install the uniseals I used KY, to push the PVC in. No leaks, first try.

    2k DIY UnderCurrent 6XL - 4x8 Gorilla - Plushberry Grow

From the floor, Id guestimate ~3feet tall. I trained them out a lot to build an even canopy. It's not perfect, but at 2 weeks down I think these will do ok. I want the buds to push to about 12" from the glass by harvest. I think the MH have been keeping stretch down a bit. I might wind up eating...

    2k DIY UnderCurrent 6XL - 4x8 Gorilla - Plushberry Grow

Update: Day 14 Flower This ends the first two weeks of flower. I have been using Full Spectrum MHs x2000w up to this point. The idea was to limit stretch, and to evaluate MH use in flower. (Full Spectrum) I am planning to switch to HPS tomorrow, for the next 5 weeks. After that, for the last 2...

WATER CHILLER - Expert DWC growers opinions please!!!!!!!!!

A lot of good points. I don't really worry about surface area, since all my buckets are lined with insulation to improve efficiency. Also, as the plant grows and shades the bucket from the light it'll matter even less.

WATER CHILLER - Expert DWC growers opinions please!!!!!!!!!

See that's my question. Is that 10 gallons per bucket? Obviously the bucket wont be filled to the brim, so no it wouldn't be 600 gallons. It was worded rather poorly in the OP.

WATER CHILLER - Expert DWC growers opinions please!!!!!!!!!

Chiller size is generally based on volume of water. If you have (3) 20 bucket / 10 gal systems, then you have 30 gallons of water. What I would suggest (assuming what I said was correct) is making 3 cool coils, out of wort chillers (brewing) which go for ~$50 each. Run a water res (not nutes)...

    possible HPA NUTRIENT issue

Does not look like a MG deficiency to me at all. Mg deficiency is usually where the interior of the individual leaves is a lighter green than the veins and the outer serrated leaf edges will remain darker green. To me it seems like some other issue, potentially being a Ca deficiency. When I get...

My 98 plants Floating raft system

Cool concept Icarrus! I heard/saw the floating raft method before, just with things like lettuce in greenhouses. It'll be interesting to see how this works out weight/growth rate wise. I see you've addressed issues well as they've come up. Ingenious use of the radiator, even if it's not as...

    Timers!

I like the fan idea. I've been curious about using something similar, along with an Icebox (Hydro Innovations) to cool the air in the chamber to 65-68*. If people can use 6" PVC to make aeroflo replicas, why not use a 6" Icebox exchanger, hooked to a 6" PVC tube, with "rifled" air holes...

    Timers!

it's - "not AN idiot" (an is used when the following word starts with a vowel. "threw" it's through... I THREW the ball. I worked THROUGH the bullshit. I often doubt people's statements when they can't even properly structure sentences or spell/use words correctly. Take the negativity elsewhere.

    Is it okay with 2000w in a 4ft x 7ft room?

It really depends on the temp of the air coming in. It's all great to vent air, as long as the air being drawn in is cool enough to offset the BTUs of your lights. 3.414(BTUs/hour) x (600x2) = 4096.8BTUs heat per hour. The adjust a wings will make cooling a bit harder as they're not vented hoods...

    Is it okay with 2000w in a 4ft x 7ft room?

Ok, the space has little to do with anything. I am running 2000w HID in a 4x8 tent. Great. However I am running 750cfm Max fan through air cooled hoods and running an AC. NOW, just because they are LEDs doesn't mean you don't need AC. I would definitely recommend venting the room out to the...

    First DWC grow, anything missing?

Looking solid. I ran some similar buckets with a modded drip ring a couple years back. Everything looks good, just watch pH swings, since you can only have ~3.5 gals max in each bucket. Didn't really notice any tip burn, but if there is any keep an eye on it. As long as it doesn't go past the...
