    How to choose distillation column

I need a distillation system for solvent recovery (ethanol and possibly hexane) and for distillation of alcohol for QWET. Being a non chemist I'm not sure what to buy. My guess is that a fractional condensor would give better quality but also need longer time and consume more energy to process...

    best reasonably priced nutrients?

Kristalon series from Yara is very cheap so I asked the retailer if I can use it in my hydro grow. They told me it was perfect for hydro so I'm surprised to hear that. I did however told them that i grow tomatoes. :) What kind of problems can I expect if I use the product in hydro...

Users of Automatic ph controller - increased yield?

I did'nt know that. Perhaps that's why the professional controllers are so expensive?

Users of Automatic ph controller - increased yield?

I spend hours everyday dreaming of large scale grow ops. It's addictive. :) 1000 litres IBCs is a part of that dream. I wish I had balls of steel... :)

    Arduino Watering by Moisture

I found various Arduino hydroponic projects on Youtube. I think Arduino is interesting because it makes it possible to control a lots of parameters, or just collect data at a low cost. But I must admit that I wouldn't trust my grow op with a device I built myself. Perhaps as extra safety like...

Fans during the last part of flowering

Thanks Craig1969SS for solving the mystery. That sounds like a logical explanation. Nice looking plant you've got there! Whats the name of the strain? :)

Fans during the last part of flowering

Here is a pic. Lights off and autocorrected. It's a vertical grow. Hydro, drippers and cocco. I use GHE with the Lucas formula. Added extra cal mag from start nothing else. The only thing I changed from last grow is that I added the fans. The dying leaves has been occuring during the last weeks...

Users of Automatic ph controller - increased yield?

Perhaps the automatic ph controller is best used for growers who can't visit the grow every day. But if the controller doesn't give me a better yield I don't think it's the right time to buy one. Thanks for your input Clutch1024 and Craig1969SS.

Users of Automatic ph controller - increased yield?

Thank you Clutch1024 I had no idea of that. I thought Bluelab was top quality. Well, perhaps it is but if it can't handle strong ph+ or ph- I have no use for it. Bluelab is expensive in my country but I have found this: It's a peristaltic pump so the liquid is only in contact with the inside...

Fans during the last part of flowering

All the trichomes are white, only a few are amber. I guess 1 week from harvest. The dry leaves is not a major problem for this harvest. But I would like to improve my technique. Last grow I had to much moisture, this grow fans running 24/7 but random dying top foliage. The buds looks fine. Next...

Fans during the last part of flowering

That incident occurred during my last grow. I had only a small fan inside the tent and it was in the middle of the summer 27 degrees Celsius outdoor and very humid. Inside the tent the temperature was about 26 degrees Celsius (79 F). I discovered in one of the corners a large cluster of foliage...

Fans during the last part of flowering

Sorry, I forgot to mention that the mold issue was in my last grow. It was only in one single bud so i cut it off and installed the fans. That was during the summer when the RH was +60% This time I have no problems with mold. But instead of mold I have problems with dry leaves. Dehumidifier...

Fans during the last part of flowering

After a minor mold issue I installed 2 oscillating fans in my grow tent. It works fine but some of the top leaves dries during the last 3-4 weeks of flowering. The fans works on lowest speed 24/7. The RH inside the tent is 53-59% It looks like this harvest will be the highest yielding so far...

Users of Automatic ph controller - increased yield?

Some strains are more sensitive to PH. I have noticed that the growth often is increased a few days after I correct the PH. I estimate that I let the PH drift to far a few times during each grow and those days quickly adds up to a noticeable percent of the total grow cycle. Question is if an...

deficiency showing up week 6 of flower...under current

I had similar problems with my last grow. My guess was deficiency or PH problems. I added Cal-mag and monitored the PH and adjusted every second day. The only thing that helped a bit was the PH adjustment. Finally I figured out that it probably was wind burn and heat stress. In the next grow I...
