Northern Lights flowering under 18 hours light cycle?

Thank you for answering! I really needed a second opinion on those plants. I ordered the seeds from a retailer but I will email directly to Nirvana and ask them if they can explain what happened. I am glad to hear that you agree that it´s most likely a seed problem rather than a garden failure. :)

Northern Lights flowering under 18 hours light cycle?

I started my latest grow on januari 8. Three different strains : Nortern Lights and Aurora indica from Nirvana and White Rhino. All feminized. I planted the seeds in small pots and a 18 hours light cycle a few days later when they started to grow. The aurora indica and the White rino grow...

Any ideas how to build a light trap for a grow tent?

Yes, I think that could work. I will try that. Thank you BigEasy1! :)

Any ideas how to build a light trap for a grow tent?

I used an intake fan to avoid negative air pressure inside the grow tent for my last grow. It worked fine but it also increased the dust buildup inside in the tent. I have tried to use the ventilation opening instead of intake fan and it works quite well with a filter mat as a particle filter...

    Tissue culture and cannabis?

thump easy: Thank you very much for input and pictures ( and death scene), very inspiring! :) Do you grow the plants in soil or in hydro during the last period, when they first are exposed to the environment outside the test tube?

    Tissue culture and cannabis?

Excellent idea! Sharing information and experiment with different combinations together could save us a lot of time not doing the same mistakes. It could take a while until I have a working sterile setup but I will document and share my experiments on ROI.

    Tissue culture and cannabis?

I need to study the documents in this thread a few more times and perhaps read some literature on basic lab technique/”biotechnology at home” but I will also give it a try. In the “The Biotechnology of Cannabis sativa” the author included a list with companies that are selling equipment. Most...

    Tissue culture and cannabis?

I have seen a lot of info on tissue cloning of orchids. Is tissue cloning used in the orchids industry because it's difficult to grow orchids from seed? Culturing roses and orchids must be the most beautiful cover for a grow op. :)

    Tissue culture and cannabis?

Thank you mudballs and RM3 for great links and documents. I think you have answered my questions on tissue cloning and cannabis. It looks very interesting. Perhaps not the most economic way to produce clones but I like the idea of having the favourite strains in agar instead of motherplants...

    Tissue culture and cannabis?

Mudballs, I agree. It looks like the process probably could be made at home to a somewhat reasonable cost but the kits like the one in the link doesn't guarantee a successful clone with cannabis. I would be more convinced if Bill Graham show us examples with cannabis instead of redwood. Native...

6 month? Monstergardens.com did not mention the timeline in this product: https://www.monstergardens.com/Propagation-and-Cloning/Tissue-Culture-Kits-And-Accessories/Plant-Tissue-Culture-Microclone-Kit They did mention: Why Micropropagation? - Replaces Mother Plants - No Bugs, Pest, or Care...

    Tissue culture and cannabis?

Hi, I found some information on a cloning method called "tissue culture" or "tissue cloning". It has been around for some years and it looks like a possible alternative to normal cloning: I am just curious why we don´t hear much from this method in cannabis growing. Is it because it doesn´t...

Back for the fun run. Coco DTW vert grow.

Looking good drek! I will follow this thread with great interest. it's very similar to my next setup. I will probably use cool tubes to keep the temperature down. Temperature in my grow room is 82 degrees with the cooltubes. Your plants looks very healthy so I´m considering barebulb. What's the...

    Clay Pebbles

Hi 29Menace, I have experimented with clay pebbles as a replacement for coco. I observed some fluctuations a few times during the veg. The PH went from 5.7 to 7,3 in 2-3 days. I guess that coco helps stabilizing the PH but I can´t really say that the clay pebbles has anything to do with the...

    Soxhlet Extraction method...

Thanks, this product is available so I can test the extraction. Would you recommend the Soxhlet extraction with Hexane as a solvent for a fairly safe and economic extraction with good result or do you prefer the QWISO, butane extraction or anything else?

    Soxhlet Extraction method...

I am not a professional chemist so I thought all ether was the same. :) It´s the Di Ethyl Ether that's not available. I searched the web for Hexane and I did find a product currently sold to the consumer market to be used as a solvent/cleaner for residues of glue and paint. The product safety...

    Soxhlet Extraction method...

Ok, thank you for explaining. I read an article about the extraction in "Cannabis Alchemy" (Ronin 1989). The author suggests soxhlet extraction after 3-4 hours of refluxing a solvent. They use alcohol as a solvent in the example and the soxhlet is followed by a distillation and finally a...

    Soxhlet Extraction method...

You are probably right. I didn't want to start a new thread on the same topic but 2 years is a long time. Soxhlet extraction sounds great since it recycle the alcohol.
