    Question for Subcool

Not so sure it is your fault. There has been a lot of comments about this problem in Sub strains. Best bet is to try and find a pheno that doesn't hermie and is also up to par on quality. Then start working from clones.

Cloning for a mother question (Pics)

You want to select for the smoke you like the best followed by yield, height, vigor. It is often the case that the best smoke is not the highest yielder, so you have to make a judgement call based on your findings. Usually I will pick some unfinished product and dry it out to test; this is to...

    best 400w hps ballasts

And that right there is reason enough to go with a reputable brand. Not to mention that you don't want some poorly designed chinese junk burning your house down. I avoid anything with a fan as the fan will fail before the ballast and a ballast dependent on a fan will not last long without the...

    waterlogged rockwool

Unless you are mixing your own absorbent/repellent rockwool cocktail, there is no need to worry about rockwool getting "waterlogged". Leave it alone and let it recover.

    question for americans

If the medical market is any indication, prices for legal weed may remain relatively high. If somebody buys "legal" weed they should have no problem putting cheaper "illegal" weed in whatever special packaging the legal stuff comes in when they run out. Its not like they are going to be able to...

The House Republicans just pulled a coup on the goverment shut down

Not sure how that makes sense. Perhaps the lack of government would result in an unprecedented level of charity? If you divided up all the wealth equally, within a year it would be back where it started. Spenders outnumber savers 10 to 1 by my guesstimate.

I need 60 ounces or more in three months

No problem, but fully-rooted regular clones are required and they go directly into flower cycle. A fast strain is ready to chop in 7-8 weeks. This would be intended for a SOG or perpetual.

Who Else is Single and Happy?

You sound like a good man, so I will tell you the truth. To hell with what your family wants, it is pure self-interest known as grand children. Since you are 26, that gives you a solid 9 years to bang every tramp chick you can get your hands on. Treat them all like garbage to keep them wanting...

I need 60 ounces or more in three months

    1. As long as you are using cubes, slabs, or croutons in pots, you can move the plants around to maximize canopy efficiency. 2. Rockwool holds a lot of water and is thereby fairly immune to power outages. 3. Although the medium is more expensive, I do not believe aero to be significantly more...

I need 60 ounces or more in three months

A good soiless mix or coir does not affect the process time significantly. The advantage of hydro is a potentially better yield and it is automated. Aero is basically inflexible and works best for highly uniform plants going directly into flowering stage. If one plant gets sick, they all do...

Feminized seeds & hermies. Do you want to know the truth?

Like I said, defensive. There was good reason to bring it up as plenty of pretty flowers are otherwise garbage. You didn't mention the quality, presumably because there was none.

I need 60 ounces or more in three months

If you haven't blown a big wad of money already, why don't you look into using containers with Promix and 600/1000w HPS lights? Starting off with aero could turn you into a former grower very quickly.

Just got my 400 watt light

You don't need a fan for a 400w HPS, particularly in that setup as the fan is just going to spread odor all over your living area. Some strains can tolerate being close to the light, some not. I generally find being closer than about 18" can cause foxtailing on the tops. EDIT: Fan or not, the...

Feminized seeds & hermies. Do you want to know the truth?

I assumed you didn't mention the quality because it was crap. If you did not have to defend your what or why, then you would not have replied at all.

    calling all veterans.

Not a ratio, percentage by weight. Not a ratio, see above. As for the rest, organics break down in time to release nutrients to the plant. It is a non-linear process.

who just uses GH (or equiv) and none of the extra BS and gets good results?

For the small non-commercial grower, there are not a lot of choices in dry hydro nutrients. It is far more profitable to sell you some liquid BS. Because there really isn't much difference between dry nutrients; the technology was worked out decades ago and no significant advances have been made...

Feminized seeds & hermies. Do you want to know the truth?

Autos? Those are C. ruderalis variants, right? I notice you don't mention the quality of the smoke.

    calling all veterans.

Even if your theory were true - which it is not - you are positing that there is a logarithmic relationship between the advertised nutrient levels and the "real" nutrient levels in an organic product. Absolutely preposterous. It's not even bad science. EDIT: Salts? What salts? It's organic.

    calling all veterans.

No it doesn't. If it did, you can be damned sure that a profit-oriented outfit like Miracle-Gro (Scotts) would advertise it as such. The low NPK numbers are typical for organic soils and/or fertilizers and are based on chemical analysis. While these numbers do not accurately reflect the...
