Learning a Lot on First Ever Grow

So my dehumidifier arrived and I have squashed it in there. I've also repotted and glad I did. It looks like there was some root bound. It smells weedy in there but when I repotted and agitated, I got a whiff of something pretty awful. Perhaps it was the skunk strain that has made it this far...

What herb behaves most like cannabis

Strawberries are schweeeet! I've tried my hand various organic veggies over the years and this helped me understand a fair bit about soil composition, Micronutrients and the likes. I would agree that trying your hand at even a few seedlings on a windowsill or in a mini greenhouse in the garden...

Hey @Chronikool can you recommend an entry point on these or. Other forums for understanding LED's better. I have an understanding of wiring DC, calculations etc but the world of chips, performance, cooling, etcetera is a bit baffling. How would I go ordering a batch like this to play around...

What herb behaves most like cannabis

Grow some Beer... I can attest to tomatos. They have a distinct veg then flower phase and their new growth from the nodes is similar. You could practice training them in limited space.

Ganja? Nah! I thought about doing this also but figured that it was a waste if doing it indoors. I mail ordered some seeds and it worked out well. What are the environmental problems? I'm curious.

    just learning

@smoke the tires I did the same for a while and I'm glad I did. When I finally got to growing it all kicked in and made sense. There's nothing like having a go to get you going, but I've found that keeping something alive in artificial conditions needs good response times, especially if your...

    Peruvian Flute Vinyl

Hi there RUI, Sorry for not saying hello and rampaging noobie central without introducing myself. I am a new grower who has their first plant going as we speak. I have smoked very little for a very long time and am inspired to start growing with the changes sweeping across the world over...

    Mould prevention

Thanks @SnapsProvolone . I was practicing quoting on these forums. LOL. Nah just laziness sorry. Thanks for clearing it up for me. My grow is ultra small. Gonna install an overnight ceramic heat lamp. If I can survive this first grow I will be upsizing this box pronto cus it's filling up with...

Learning a Lot on First Ever Grow

Humidity has dropped off. Quite unscientifically I don't know why. Couple of dry days over the weekend. Cleaned my shed gutters. Moved the fan away from the damp crystals. It has rained 2 days already and it's still hovering at 57% 2 hours after lights on. Been real windy so that might be it...

    Mould prevention

I've looked up actinovate and it seems to be touted as an organic agricultural solution with microbes being the active ingredient. Peroxide I'm not so sure unless it breaks down pretty quick into hydrogen and oxygen. I'm no scientist though so I'll wait to hear.

    Mould prevention

Thanks everyone. I'm gonna try and track down some neem oil. @Diabolical666 is the peroxide safe to use on flowering plants without it leaving a residue?

That's real nice @Chronikool . It's early days but I'm thinking a PC box for a mother is a good next step and this might be the way to go. Is that heat sink passive only?

    Mould prevention

Hi all, I am battling pretty humid conditions in a cool climate. I have a dehumidifier in the post but wanted to know if there were any pointers on preventing mould developing now that I am 2 weeks into 12/12. I have read variously about milk or vinegar solution sprays etc. Any help, links or...

Learning a Lot on First Ever Grow

Thanks @FlashBabylon I tried crystals meant for clearing damp but they only marginally reduced the levels even with a fan clowing on them. I am waiting on a pretty small dehumidifier which might fit in there but if it gets too squishy it might be a box withing a box situation. Its wet out here.

    Thread Move

Hi There, Is someone able to help me move my thread to the grow journals section. I started with some questions but its getting like a journal and would like to stop rampaging Noob Central everytime I post an update. Thanks very much
