the only thing growing in high altitudes is going to do is make your grow season a few months shorter than mine. can u put seeds in the ground in feb and harvest them in nov? i seriously doubt that and by the looks of your dwarfs im right. and raised beds need to be at least a foot or so...

What makes you think it was birds??? I dont know many bird species that eat plant foliage. More likely deer or some other kind of omnivore. Unless you found a lot of bird shit or somethin i would suspect something else. Ive seen dogs nibble on weed plants too but never wipe out a crop.
