look at borat-how is his not funny

Hes not that funny of a person, just as gravy said hes ballsy, however he still gets me laughing all the time. I find him hilarious, but hes not a very talented comedian.

He's amazing at staying in character even in completely ridiculous circumstances and when you understand what his comedy is about its hilarious. go watch the part in borat with the drivers ED teacher and try not to laugh.

Its not that hard to understand, hes not that good of a comedian. He just has balls to get into crazy situations, hence why hes funny.

And this is supposed to mean what exactly? That we have standards when it comes to entertainment? I'm sorry that most of our comedians actually realize there is a line between funny, controversial, and down right rude, and disrespectful.

I only like his borat and bruno characters, I don't think ali g is that funny. I'm a pretty big fan of bruno and borat but it's true that he's only funny because of shock value.

i dont think its the shock value. i think its the way he lets people show their real colours. have you seen him as borat sing the song "throw the jew down the well"? he manages to get a whole bar of rednecks singing a antisemetic song. his comedy works because it shows how homophobic/racist/sexist society can be. is it shocking? yes but his character doesn't shock me. what shocks me is how narrow minded some people can be. sorry gravy i shouldn't of generalised all americans in one way. what i meant was the way you said you would "smash his face in! just seemed very.......whats the word i'm looking for?....oh o.k american.
