Oil <$60/barrel, time to buy stock

The chart on USO does not look promising. What makes you think that $20 call options on that will do anything other than expire worthless? Isn't buying such options "playing oil thinking it is going to shoot up"?

Oil <$60/barrel, time to buy stock

Nobody knows the breakdown, or the true amount extant, as "OTC" refers to private transactions. But, based on past incidents, it is safe to say that the buyers not only don't understand the underlying risk but often don't even know what the hell they have actually bought. Both parties expect to...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Over-the-counter_(finance)#Importance_of_OTC_derivatives_in_modern_banking https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Derivative_(finance)#OTC_and_exchange-traded OTC derivatives are several hundred trillion $ of private leveraged bets that can not be paid off in an adverse...

Oil <$60/barrel, time to buy stock

Check out the daily cash Russell. Breakdown out of ascending wedge, check. Hanging man candle at top, check. Moving down in a 3 wave pattern, check. The bigger issue is intensifying credit deterioration...and accompanying deflation. Equities won't trade up against that for long. As for gold...

Oil <$60/barrel, time to buy stock

The problem with EW (one of them), is which index? They are too overly managed and thereby misleading. I generally follow the Russell 2000 as its composition somewhat overcomes that problem. At the moment, it sure looks like it is going to continue down...whether a C or a 3.

Oil <$60/barrel, time to buy stock

Have a look at Biogen. The current 6 year cyclical bull has been driven by fed intervention, which created a temporary confidence. Since the fed is not in control of private property (AKA communism), there is zero possibility that they have "control" over what is still substantially a free...

    Cyclone Drilling

Both gold and oil are a bit of a wildcard as geopolitical events could affect the prices of both, gold more so than oil. In contrast, a geopolitical event is not going to cause equities to go up. The oil price does not appear to be getting much traction, and considering the situation in China...

Advice on lighting, number of plants and so on for 4X8 tables

If I were going to do two 4x8 tables, I'd use a standard 115 gallon reservoir per table and about 120 6x6x5 cultilene rockwool blocks per table. Lighting would be 4 Gavita digistar, hydrofarm DE wing, plantmax DE bulb. The digistar goes from 600-1150w, very flexible. Climate control is most...

Advice on lighting, number of plants and so on for 4X8 tables

IMO, a 55 gallon drum would not make a good reservoir for ebb/flow on a 4x8 table due to inadequate capacity and the wrong form factor.

Advice on lighting, number of plants and so on for 4X8 tables

The lights are the easy part. 4x8s are large tables, if you want to do ebb/flow, you are going to need some large expensive reservoirs. You will also need climate control nailed down. Lighting would typically be minimum of 4 600w HPS (2400w). It is advisable to stay within the "minimal felony"...

    Seeking legal advice

Did the guy talk to the cops and incriminate himself? Or perhaps the other parties made sworn statements to the effect that the plants were his? I don't think they would pursue the case unless they had something solid on him to tie him to the plants.

    Rockwool Drip to Waste System

I'm sure that will work fine, but I would veg the plants an additional week or two once they are placed in the slab assembly in order to take full advantage of the additional media volume. I'd also look into something called 'Drip Clean' - I believe it is an H&G product. With the slabs, I don't...

Is it wrong for a Christian to Smoke Weed.

Of course it is a sin. But why should that concern you? The entire point of Christianity - and subsequent popularity thereby - is that ALL of your sins are forgiven. In essence, profession of said faith is a license to do what thou wilt. Fear no more and be sure to nail as much hot Christian ass...

Two week veg? Are you talking from a fully rooted clone or from seeds?

Nutes beyond the basic grow/bloom: are they really worth it?

As to "supplemental nutrients" I've tried a lot of different things. Some of them, technically, can increase yield. However, this is usually the result of inducing fox-tailing. I'll take the tiny bit of lower yield without the fox-tails. Maxi series, GH 3 part, Dyna-gro, Floranova, these have...

Flood and Drain Without the Flood

Rockwool blocks do not wick very well. Coco does. Why not just skip the mat and use coco in small square pots (4"-5")? By skipping the mat, you will be able to move them around if need be. You would also be picking up a little extra media volume with the pots vs. the blocks.

Nutes beyond the basic grow/bloom: are they really worth it?

Bingo! Those moms are right. If only I could get a prescription...what a wonderful world it would be.

    Soil or Coco

My main objection to things like Slacker - and particulary Fox Farm soil blends - is that you don't know how much of the more expensive amendments they actually add. Legally, they can throw a thimble-full of bat guano in there and say "It has Bat Guano!" As a result, I always make my own mixes.

    Soil or Coco

I've used botanicare coco and found it to be an excellent media. A big advantage is that is holds a lot of water "as is". I'm not sure what the benefit of cutting it with perlite would be. The drawbacks are - for my operations - is that it does not do well in mixed hydro. That is, a table with...

    Help with Rockwool mini cubes

The rockwool mini-cubes are the same material used to make the bigger blocks (i.e. same mix of absorbent/repellent fibers). This particular mix is excellent for plant growth, but it doesn't wick water upwards very well. Therefore, I like to get at least a 3/4 flood depth on the blocks and the...
