How far should hid lights be from plants

You will need an exhaust and intake fan to cope with the heat and humidity you add to the tent by putting a hps light in. Because it evaporates your medium without correct air flow your tent walls will always be wet. You NEED A hygrometer which will tell you the relative humidity and temps at...

How far should hid lights be from plants

The best advice I can give you is to set the plants at around 12" and lower it by an inch everyday until you see evidence of heat stress. Because you want your lights as close to your plants as possible without them being harmed, the further they are even by per inch the amount of light u lose...

    Yield guestimate?

Growdict is off on he's measuring of led outputs, 300w led is 300w output power and only around half that or less in actual draw. That doesn't make the led weaker than 300w it makes your power bill smaller. On that note I believe you will pull around 1/2-2/3 of a pound completely dependant upon...

How far should hid lights be from plants

6"-8" is your optimum height from canopy to light with a 400w as its HPS not MH, if you have a cool tube no problems at all if you don't your gonna want an oscillating fan moving that heat. After 8" you really start wasting your light as it becomes useless light.

    Outdoor grow

They won't like being in a pot with other plants but being the hardy plants they are if your careful with them you can break the roots and transplant them into a pot of about 5litreS just for a week or two. Once they fill that out you can put them into 15-20L pots where they can remain for rest...

    Need opinions & ideas

I do al my growing through coco and I love the stuff. I have never come across a problem that I couldn't fix. Too strong nute? Just flush it. Also lock outs don't tend to happen very often if you watch how much you feed and your e.c and ph. I personally use a a+b coco nutrient with a part c...

5/6 weeks into flowering and hairs are all orange

You should be fine to remove all the fan leaves from the bottom 1/3 or so of the plant. Also try to create an even canopy by bending and tying the main down bring it to roughly the same height as the other if possible

First Time Post & First Time Grow!

if youve grown the whole thing with nutrients then yes the last 2 weeks of flowering you will want to just feed your beautiful ladies PH'ed water, your leaves will definately turn yellow and die off but dont worry about that its just normal.

5/6 weeks into flowering and hairs are all orange

defoliating wont really help the buds down the bottom unless you are using powerful lights, you cant expect to penetrate that far without perhaps 1000W HID or equivalent with LED's. Defoliating helps 100%, however you only need to remove the fan leaves that are restricting the majority of the...

My tips look like they're dying, what could it be?

could be slight nutrient burn but ive also heard it can be because of the chlorine etc in the water. Make sure your E.C is right and for soil-less mediums you want PH around 5.8-6.3 not sure on soil mixes.

    Help pinpoint this defficiency

5/6 weeks into flowering and hairs are all orange

its about a 10 week flower for GSC if im correct... which makes you give or take a week or two half way through the flowering process, forget about the colour of your ''hairs'' as it generally means nothing especially if you look lower onto your plant just keep an eye on the trichromes.

Repot are not three weeks to go maybe more

looks fine to me however your fans look like there suffering from heat stress or a PH issue hence the canoeing. I wouldnt bother re-potting so close to harvest by the time the roots find the walls again the plant is ready to be pulled.

    Seedlings having problems! Please help!

its hard to start seedlings outside like this especially when they are in pots and rain because the water will easily soak the soil and rip the plant from its roots they are only small and delicate at that size. Also yes you need more direct sunlight or start then inside under a few CFL's.
