    Going Vertical - 4x4 Tent

Put it to you this way...it's not that you will automatically go from, say, .5gpw to 1.5gpw if you go from horizontal to vertical with all other factors remaining the same. What vertical will afford you is a higher margin of error in terms of yield, and it will make it easier to get a higher...

    coco: pot size

I have not run 3gal fabric pots yet, only the 1gal. Largest yield last run from the 1gal fabric pot with about 5 weeks of veg total was 108 grams not counting some additional larf that was not weighed and tossed right in the bubble pile. Since that is right in line with the yield I expect from a...

10 day old seedlings - issues! pls help

What does this have to do with the post you just quoted? Your statement doesn't mean anything here unless you qualify it with another statement to correlate to the point made in my post.

10 day old seedlings - issues! pls help

I agree with all but the last point -- fluctuating RH will absolutely cause serious problems particularly later in veg and flowering. Issues like PM aren't usually a result of simply having high humidity, but rather big swings in humidity.

    Going Vertical - 4x4 Tent

I'm excited for you man, my first "real" run with vertical was an eye-opening experience and an absolute blast. I still run horizontal occasionally as well (usually when I have extra plants that I don't have room for in the vert tent (as with that grow I linked you to as well as my current run)...

    Going Vertical - 4x4 Tent

Yup, that stuff works as well, maybe even better than the flexible vinyl just because it has some rigidity to it and can support heavier buds a bit.

Zip ties...I found that you can buy reusable zip ties for a bit more money that can be reattached or loosened as necessary. I definitely recommend these over normal ties if you can find them.

    Going Vertical - 4x4 Tent

On second thought, looking at how much extra room was in that tent, I could see a 1000w doing fine if care was taken not to let the vertical canopy get too out-of-hand in terms of leaning forward towards the light. When in doubt, run it with an electronic ballast and that way you can always dial...

    Going Vertical - 4x4 Tent

2 feet from the bulb to the plants, is that what you're asking? If so yes, that's pretty much what I went for to be safe and I could have probably gotten away with having them even closer as the air extraction, if done properly, is very effective in a vertical bare bulb setup. However, keep in...

    Going Vertical - 4x4 Tent

Here's a pic I found that might illustrate what I'm saying a little better than I can express it in words.

    Going Vertical - 4x4 Tent

I would recommend just putting a screen with a slight gap against the wall and then anchoring the plants back onto the wall instead of putting a screen around the light and doing it the opposite way, if that's what you're saying. In that tent I just took the garden fencing and secured it via zip...

    Mold in coco coir medium

It may not produce negative results, but it won't produce more favorable results than straight coco will either. It's a soil-less medium, it does not need the aeration that perlite provides. I still can't see a thing in that photo man, but from what I can tell, it's not salt build-up based on...

    Mold in coco coir medium

Are you channeling Ray Charles with those photos? I can't see shit. Could you be seeing salt build-up? That can look similar to PM in my experience. Why are you mixing coco with perlite? That's unnecessary and likely doing more harm than good.

What differentiates a new grower to an experienced grower?

Agreed on most of these points, Canna's coco line is solid and I've done my last 3 or 4 runs with only A + B + tapwater and then some powdered Koolbloom in the last few weeks of flower. Excellent yields and quality all around, no complaints. Simple is best in nearly every case.

No, I'm a real estate broker. What does that have to do with anything?

    Going Vertical - 4x4 Tent

Didn't see in the post, are you planning to put a screen in to anchor the plants to or just free-train them?

    Is my light causing this?

Please don't start trying to feed to correct deficiencies, it's much more likely based on what you have said that you either need to move the light up for now to allow the plants to acclimatize to the new environment or dial down the wattage if you have an electronic ballast. Always correct...

edit- I'm blind as a bat, sorry -- just saw that the cooltube was in your veg setup, ignore me. Cool that you got some advice from tystikk, he definitely seems to know his stuff...also check out the vertical forum on icmag, as some of the best pros and pro-ams in the business post there. 5500 watts safe in 3 bedroom house?

Properly wired and running on a flip flop I don't see how that would be any issue at all. You could probably get away with it even without the flip flop but I would imagine that the ~3000 total watts running at a time would be easier to explain than ~6000+ total watts if you ran them all at...
