Ok, so I lowered the level of water to approx 1/2 inch below the cup. I googled a bit on photoperiod and am wondering what hillbilly meant by "inducing photoperiod". Should I make the plants 24hrs in light? To make them "feel" the change more? I guess so... Also the low light would suggest...

So I should lower the water level below the cup? I've got like 1 inch of rockwool and volcanic filling below it. So the water level should be lower then the cup's bottom? Or just lower then the rock wool? I'm sorry but I'm not a native english speaker and this is probably causing my confusion :-?

Nonono, the tape was only to keep them in place while glueing them to the bottom of the res. There are no tapes on the airstones. :) What do you mean by "inducing the photoperiod"? Could you please clarify that?

Quick update: It seems that tomorrow girls should loose their seed shelves. If they don't I'll help them a little ;-) Even with my tiny bulbs they seem to grow very fast.

I guess I'll add two more bulbs with time. I was trying to go low budget and didn't know how much do I need. Just checked at my babies and they are very quickly rising up :) I'll try making a close-up photo and post it in my journal :)

Yep :) nice photos and a nice root. Definatelly we've got similar setups. I've got only 2 bulbs totalling to 150Watts at this moment. Isn't that too little?
