Yeah, and it is worth mentioning that I'm not afraid of DIY. I'm on #TeamCOB and have built a few panels out. I also just finished an aquacloner, so I'm not too intimidated. Looking at the Current Culture setup, it does seem ridiculously easy to emulate.

I'm not sure how I feel about the two bulb lamp. It's already shown that the 315 can penetrate just fine... The two bulb 630s that are out are all self-ballasted, so you can't use them in a DE setup.

Yes, but at the risk of bulb degradation. 10% light output can be 10% less yield. The 1kW Ballast runs a High Frequency Sine Wave and the CMH is supposed to be on a Low Frequency Square Wave. Risk it if you want, but a proper ballast for the lamp will be out soon.

I'm personally waiting on the Low Freq Square wave ballast before I hop on the 630s, but I love my 315s. I plan on running the red boosted 630 from GC

I would agree - they don't create enough heat to cause any concern. If you do end up remote mounting, make sure to increase the wire gauge to make up for the added distance to drive the current. And this would be the main reason to remote mount them, the weight. But if you're hanging all those...

I'd go with 2 315 CMH and call it a day, you'd have amazing canopy coverage with that. But with the gear you've got, I'd say pic 2, and toss the LED on the side, and keep them rotating like you said. I'm not really a fan of rotating plants though, I prefer to SCROG.

If you're only running one bulb in a 4x4, yeah, you don't have to worry about early degradation nearly as much. But I will be running 4-8, so I'm not going to risk it. The 4200K isn't bad, by any means, it's just simply not as well tuned as 3100K+R. Think you're doing ok there? You'll do better...
