lighting layout choices

currently, in my 2.5 x 5 foot tent, i have a 600 watt hps (red) on the right, a little closer to the middle than a 200 watt led (blue) on the left. i just got the 600, had a 400 there before. wondering if it might not be better to take the led out and turn the 600 like the image below. currently its 64 watts per sq ft., the 600 alone would be 48.
i like to be hands on, so i don't mind moving and turning the plants daily. do i need the led? will the far ends of the tent get decent coverage? does it matter if i move them daily?

Nah it don't matter if you move em daily. Rotate each one a qtr turn each day and they be soaking it all up.

Probably better coverage with the 600 in pic 2, but stick that led in there somewhere too. And keep em rotating.

But I've never grown in that small of space...

I'd go with 2 315 CMH and call it a day, you'd have amazing canopy coverage with that. But with the gear you've got, I'd say pic 2, and toss the LED on the side, and keep them rotating like you said. I'm not really a fan of rotating plants though, I prefer to SCROG.

i went with just the 600 like the second diagram. put the led in my veg tent, save a little heat over the mh.
i'm planning to keep a 12 plant mini sog in one half of the tent and two large plants on the other half for now, if the sog goes well i may go to 24 or even 30 small plants and just keep putting the shortys in the middle
thnx for the replies
