Well thats a good question , but it can happen, i already had problem's with plants that all the other factors as soil and nutrients as just like the others arround them .. non the less it can happen. But there no exact awnser for that . I already said earlier that your plants seems overwater ...

All other plants just seem to be overwater . i'm just talking about one plant with yellow new growth. that's not overwater..

how many plants you have with that yellow new growth ? i just see one in the photos , but you say they ?

i dont know , whats your water ph ? do you check it before you water ? and yes that soil may be alkaline i dont know it :(.. and by looking at those last photos i would say thats a begin of a Iron def.

the brown spots are a more advanced stage of iron defiency , its starts with the new leaves yellow and green veins and afer the new growth will exhibit that brown spots in the center of the leaves. Its called chlorotic molting.
