I use 68 watt cfl i get them from home depot for $15 and buy the socket for it about 6 or 7 bucks there might be a cheaper socket for the bulbs but i like the one i buy it comes with a adjustable clamp that makes hanging it off anything easy Hope this helps

You said a 3 watt 2 outlet air pump and ure splitting that between two 5 gal buckets. That is no where close to enough air. As a general rule u need at least 1 watt per gallon of water. U got at least.12 gal in there minimum probably more and ure only pushin 6 watts. Of course more is better...
