I was triming off a few colas to start drying, most of them are just in time. It was early in the morning, not much sunlight yet, and then I saw this. I thought it was a flower (I was sleepy) but now that Im looking at the pics, I think it might be a cocoon. I knew I had thrips at some point...

Alright, you convinced me: I'll water cure a portion of my crop. I just need one final detail: after the 7 days of water curing, when hanging the bud for a couple of extra days, isn't it in big danger of making mold? or even after that, when storing the bud in jars? Im a newbie, by the way...

In the end I chop down my hermie and dried it. It wasn't the most decent smoke, but If tried worse. And it gave a light buzz. Better than throw it away, right?

I've been told not to worry, since most likely the Thrips will abandon the plant once its cuted and drying. I would be a little scared to water the plant prior to cut her down. This city is very humid already, mold could appear easyly. Thanks everyone

Thanks for your response. Do you mean I should spray the plant with the water hose to scare the bugs out, prior to chop her down? Is it ok to cut down the plant while still wet? Thanks for your help
