How long do you flush DWC?

I’ve always been under the conclusion that 5-7 days was the magic number. Use RO with cal mag for first 3 then straight RO for the remainder. Hydro plants will run through the stored nutrients by day 4 or 5. Leaves will start to turn. That’s when I chop.

Im in soil but Have a water question

When I was doing Dwc I would mix cal mag with 5 gallons of RO water. I would keep it in a cool dark place for no longer than 3-4 days. I never noticed any kind of mineral build up. I also never mixed any other nutrients in the jugs. I think that it’s not so much how long it’s good for but...

Quick question on my upcoming RDWC build.

I was thinking about building a frame and taking my whole system out of the tent to maximize my space. Would it be easy to keep water temps down if they were not directly under the light?

Quick question on my upcoming RDWC build.

It looks expensive, not to mention your article says that they got a 16% increase yield on tomato’s. Not going to spend something that’s more than the price of my lights to get a possible 10-15% more.

Quick question on my upcoming RDWC build.

Did you use aquarium safe silicone to seal your whole system? I’m used to using pvc weld but I don’t know if that’s safe.

Quick question on my upcoming RDWC build.

Can you post a picture of it? I would love to take some notes on it if you don’t mind? Have you experimented with the waterfalls/sprayers shooting into the root mass? Also I got 3 of the same tubs that you use, they say 27 gallons on them but in your opinion what do they hold?

Quick question on my upcoming RDWC build.

Please share your experience, how does your setup differ from an undercurrent. Also why would there be a max gph; could you just not add more sprayers to increase DO in each of the tubs?

Quick question on my upcoming RDWC build.

Growweedeasy is the best, for awhile they had a google+ forum that I was part of. Had to take a break from growing and when I came back there wasn’t a group. Could you post a pic of your manifold, JSB? You have updated a few times in your thread. Do you notice a difference in your plants that...

Quick question on my upcoming RDWC build.

Okay man I’ve read through that whole forum post, I feel like I had a pretty good grip on things but it always seems like once I have one thing answered I have two more questions. In order to remain equal water level all the totes need to be level? I read on there that some one was using shower...

Quick question on my upcoming RDWC build.

I have a pump that can be both, I just live in the south so I’m going to need a chiller and probably an A/c too. With a 1000 gph pump will 1” lines be enough? I was planning on going with 2” or even 3” on the return lines at the bottom.

Quick question on my upcoming RDWC build.

The mini fridge would be thrown away if I didn’t use it so I mind as well use it. I figured I’d try and fit 70 feet of tubing in it, should that be one inch as well? I ended up buying a 1000 gph water pump so with only 2 girls growing it should be more than enough. I also tried to look at your...

Quick question on my upcoming RDWC build.

Hey guys been lurking around for awhile, I just moved to a new place and finally can start up my little home project. I used to run a straight DWC 5 gallon buckets and had a heck of a time changing out Res and training the girls. Anyway to eliminate that I’ve decided to go with an RDWC system...
