    RDWC setup

Did the first run today. Had a leak in my res bulk head. Going to go to local pet store tommorow and grab some aquarium silicone. Probably put it around all my bulkheads to ensure no leaks since all I could do was tephlone them. Didn’t want to risk welding them with the pvc cement. Also pump...

    RDWC setup

I’ve been looking at your pictures for weeks now man it’s really helped. I was talking about making the line that goes up to the water falls a half inch. The 1 inch poly line will connect to the 1 inch pvc then I’ll split a 1/2 inch line from there through a 1 inch t split. The one inch line...

I think I’m going to try that split and go down to half inch for my waterfalls. Here is a anther chicken scratch scketch to go with it On your system you have polyvinyl tubing throughout I’m talking about taking a foot or so off to add this.

    RDWC setup

So I’m trying to come up with a way to create waterfalls in my buckets without using another pump. I was thinking of splitting my intake to split it between pushing into my tubs and putting waterfalls at the top. My pump is rated for 1000 gph and my total water shoud only be ~60 gallons. Have...

    RDWC setup

Will do. I called my local hydro store and will be going there tommorow for the tubing. Guys pretty chill there and I’d rather support my local business than go to Lowe’s or HD. I’ll be back tonight with some pictures after dinner of the progress.

Thanks for being my resource man! I’m going to check Lowe’s by me they may have it. Going to start putting some stuff together...

Did you have problem with draining your containers? That was one of the big advantages that i can think of for raising the tent/containers. The tent that I’m getting is 72” inches tall not 80. Also what brand of ph and ppm reader do you use? I also have the 27 gallon totes I thought they...

Thanks for the tip. Since I’m creating the platform I guess I can just plumb it under the tent which would eliminate most of the plumbing.

Which would produce more DO in a DWC?

Are you weaning off your fertilizers? Could be a sun spot if it’s right under your light.

Question about upping nutrients as plants grow.

I was agreeing with yah man just thought I’d add in the math that I did. I think RO water is the way to go. You start with a blank slate pretty much. The only thing is you have to add is calmag; since you pretty much start from 0.

Question about upping nutrients as plants grow.

That’s the short route but it’s at 50 cents a gallon on the low end. Even a small system holds 20 gallons of water. That’s $10 a run. I would recommend putting a RO system in the house since they are not horribly expensive. It would pay for itself if you are in for the long haul. It also has...
