I am starting a u-haul grow myself as we speak. I have 12 42w cfls 8 65k 4 27k at top and about 6 42w cfls for side lighting when I need them. I will see how the box works for me(first time using a box). The last grow I had I didn't use any walls just lights around my plants and got an oz off...

If I increase my dark period,will it make my girls finish faster?I have them on 12/12 but it seems like they are taking forever to finish,It has been almost two months since I started them on 12/12 and they just keep getting fatter and fatter.Pistles turn brown then new ones come out everywhere...

that looks cool,would work great for side lighting. you could run two of those on a power strip.

Journet deep,I got a little over a ounce a plant useing the roaster pan as a hood with 12 bulbs,and it was my first grow.I am now on my second grow and still useing it.

Journey deep Cut a board the size of the bottom of the roaster pan and put it on the bottom of the roaster pan and then screw the fixtures to it .once you get all of the stuff you will figure it out!...sorry I am stoned..hope you understand this.

I have the same setup as concord dawn except I have two bathroom fixtures in mine for a total of 12 lights 6 6500k and 6 2700k and it kicks ass through the whole grow!!! I guess great minds think alike!

I did with all 6500's it worked,just took awhile though,now I just mix them up.

I understand about spectrum and color temp,you guys are probably right though,I'm just experimenting with one plant just to see if anything happens, if it freaks out,i'll let you guys know.

I think I'll put one in with my other 6500's and see if there is any change,they are really bright almost neon looking,who knows might come up with something new.

Has anyone seen the RED cfls that you can buy at Lowes in the Christmas Dept. These are Actual Red flouresent bulbs like party bulbs.I was wondering if a person could use one or two of these for flowering/if not why?

I'm three weeks into flowering and I'm covered in pink pistles and sugar can't wait till harvest.:mrgreen:

mine are at least two inches long and very vivid pink,would post pics but I am new at this and don't know how yet.

All my buds on two different plants have BIG PINK PISTLES,both bagseed.my temps stay around 75 to 85 and are covered with sugar...beautiful!
