perfect answer thank you. i have a hypothetical question now. If i took an o2 fish pump and put the tube into the soil, was thinking about put tube in before soil the put the tube facing torward the roots. I might need a o2 stone but don't think so. wouldn't this cause optimal o2 on the roots...

cool, just to clearify tho, i should use 65k bulbs for the "start" seedling/vegging. the question i have is what light should i use for over the top to veg and grow?

so i made a cheap grow box out of a cardboard box(36" high x 12"wide) covered inside with the most reflective wrapping paper i could find( mytalic color, looks like foil) have hole cut for vent and lights, was planning on running a split socket with 2 27 watt 6500k CFls directly over the top...

i have decided, the first try a loss:( But batch 2 will start after a few improvments:) now have a box, and a few more lights, getting better soil, i think the 2nd time will be the charm. wish me luck will keep informed of the progress.

ok, so i turned off the 27 w cfl and the 70 w hps now running only 1 42 w cfl, at about 4-5 inches away. flushed with 2 litters of water, water came out looking green. so...........

but i thought the more lights the better, and the closer the better?

ok i have some advice. I was in the same boat. My wife was crazy aginst the idea. So i went out and got a couple of cfls. spent less than 20 bucks. she was still hesetant, thought it would coast to much to set up and run, plus police danger. Then i took her over to a friends house days before...

does that cause the stunted growth, i only added the sticks after a week with no vertical growth at all, its at 4 weeks since breaking soil, or soilless, and is 1"-1 1/2"? the sticks did seem to help 2 days after first feeding added a fresh set of nodes, but the vert is scaring me.
