so i made a cheap grow box out of a cardboard box(36" high x 12"wide) covered inside with the most reflective wrapping paper i could find( mytalic color, looks like foil) have hole cut for vent and lights, was planning on running a split socket with 2 27 watt 6500k CFls directly over the top. should i also use the 42 watt 2700k cfl? i also have a "full spectrum" cfl 27 watts, should i use this? dont want to over light, but i want a thriving plant also. please give advice, thx

You won't overlight but you might overheat. Test it out and use the most light you can control heatwise.

cool, just to clearify tho, i should use 65k bulbs for the "start" seedling/vegging. the question i have is what light should i use for over the top to veg and grow?

Colorwise, you want about 70% 6500k and 30% 2700k in veg and the reverse in flower. Whether they are over the top or on the sides depends on how to best get the most light to the most foliage.

perfect answer thank you. i have a hypothetical question now. If i took an o2 fish pump and put the tube into the soil, was thinking about put tube in before soil the put the tube facing torward the roots. I might need a o2 stone but don't think so. wouldn't this cause optimal o2 on the roots? Sound like you could grow a killer crop fast and healthy.
