    150w of CFL would be good for starters that is around 12k lumens the almost same amount as a 150w Hps the thing is that when using CFLs the light just isn't distributed as far but remember the advantages is that you can keep them inches away from the canopy just have some good intake bringing...

    Yeah some growers tend to overlook things....They just look like normal seedlings if the black spots become worse and leafs begin to curl possibly a mag def. and get that cal-mag on um.

    What 3rd world country do you live in that the ph is 9.5 I usually get my tap at 7.5-8 and lower it to 5.8-6.1 for coco.

    For starters CFLs Advantages:Low electricity cost, their inexpensive, don't build up heat and can be kept inches away from plants, and they come in a variety of spectrums, Disadvantages:You need a lot of them and they just aren't as bright as HID lamps. Their still good for growing great dope...

    Actually they still don't require any feeding the cotyledon or seedling leaves would have been becoming consumed by the plant to feed itself what is happening here most likely a is nutrient burn or burn from heat 600w is a lot of light for seedling and can become ttoo intense and aactually burn...

    No problem mate most growers like to grow their mothers under low intensity lights (fluros) so if your running a HID in the veg room it wont grow too slow if not given direct light.

    Fire Extinguisher or Smoke Alarms/Ceiling Extinguisher I just zapped myself the other day wiring a fluro fixture, smoked too many joints and forgot it was plugged.
