Thanks for the comments, everyone. I think I will use the duct leading outside for active exhaust -- and simply use passive intake.

Because my grow room tent is located next to a duct vent that travels outside, I have the ability to bring fresh, outdoor air through the duct into the grow room. My question is, is there a benefit in bringing outdoor air into the tent vs the air inside my basement that surrounds my tent?
