Outside air VS Indoor Air

Because my grow room tent is located next to a duct vent that travels outside, I have the ability to bring fresh, outdoor air through the duct into the grow room.

My question is, is there a benefit in bringing outdoor air into the tent vs the air inside my basement that surrounds my tent?

But keep in mind if you're using that air to cool your lights it will be inefficient unless the air is a bit cooler than ambient.

Indoor air is cooler than outdoor air in the Summer. If you have good circulation, there will be plenty of CO2 just from the leaks of outdoor air in your home.

I prefer indoor air because I can regulate the temperature, plain and simple.

Outdoor air will work when the temps outside are 60-80. The dog says of summer when its 95 degrees with 90% humidity, you're best using indoor air. In winter, when its 5 degrees out, you are best using indoor air. Indoor air is consistent year round.

I like exhausting outside, and then new air is constantly rushing in to your living area. I breath up the oxygen, and let out co2, so in theory, the indoor air is richer in co2.

Thanks for the comments, everyone. I think I will use the duct leading outside for active exhaust -- and simply use passive intake.
