Well, from the tests I ran, cooltubes perform best in tight, cramped spaces. Start to open up more than 20" away in any direction and their spread is so uneven they become problematic. Basicaly a 40" x 30" rectangle a it. Any larger and the ends and corners are dim. So I guess the most...

I think that drawing was from the cooltube/adjustawing thread right? This holds the best promise I think. Local growshop is gonna carry some for a big customer and I asked to get in on the buy. I got three family birthday coming this next month and won't be buying myself any presents till...

My closet has a room built of foamboard inside it making a 6x2x6 and a 2x2x6 space segregated feom each other light and air wise. I have my can 66 carbon filter in a duct board box serving as a manifold. Box sits on top of closet. One 6" hole goes down to bloom room on left, one 4" home goes to...

I am neither of those guys nor do I know them. But there is a very real irony that had me cracking up. And Gypsy I don't think you are a troll. I appreciate your willingness to learn more about what's in your closet.

Kudos for not feeling beat up and responding to my post with eloquence and candor. As for elaboration, the internal reflector offers very poor spread and near useless angles unless being used in the most constricted spaces, as you seem to be doing. They cool amazingly, such is why you get...

    Lumatek or Galaxy

I have and they are digital not electronic :). Not 30% additional light over a new, burned in, core-coil ballast. More like 8-18% depending on bulb used. Highest gains are with name brand MH bulbs. They are very convenient , though you pay for the extra accomodations. They run with no flicker...

I'll take this edit of your post one point at a time. If you were concerned with maximizing efficiency, you would not use cooltubes, especialy homemade from glass designed to bake bread not pass light. The physics and geometry involved show cooltubes to be inefficient, and my own tests using an...

    light movers

Yes 1000w hps are considerably more effective than lower wattage bulbs when used with a linear light mover. IME, which is 400w/lightrail3.5, extending more than 10% additional area was futile. I used the same combo years ago I use now but used more of them . With the additional intensity of...

    Compressing Weed

Me personaly I'd take shake no problems if I was out of weed. But when people 'round here sell shake, they sell it cheap. They do not put lipstick on it and try to get you to dance with it though. Jrh, What was the issue you had with gp420 and his fork-stake? ;)

is this cleaner good for general grow room cleaning? PIC

I've been unemployed for many months and just started up a new company. My better half found out long ago not only do I clean really well after being bored two months and smoking some Kali Mist, but I sweep more often, paint, insulate attics, hang drywall, install lights and fans, and mop...

They are electronic. There is a difference between "digital" and "electronic" ballasts. Simply put, electronic ballasts use a circut board with various compnonents to allow pulse starting and to regulate the voltage in a fast pulse wave. Digital ballasts do that too but have a microprocessor...

Anyone tried acoustic ducting and silencer with their FANs?!

IME ducting sold as acoustic is insulated by dense fiberglass impregnated foam as opposed to fiberglass wool. Ample noise reduction for most grows is achieved by using either.

    Compressing Weed

Imported commercial is most likely compressed for space reasons. A garbage bags worth can be made to fit in a shoebox. This is much more lucrative during importation. Loose "reggies" may have been steamed to fluff up a brick which will make it less palatable, as well as further damaging...

    light movers

Light movers are good for evening the coverage of a given area, not diluting it over a larger one. No more than 10% additional space may be used without noticeable dilution effects.

is this cleaner good for general grow room cleaning? PIC

While it smells funky as all get up, it's good stuff and if rinsed well will leave no harmful residue. Awesome for cleaning boats and vinyl siding too!

Digital Thermostat that will run intake/exhaust fans as well as in-duct ozone.

I gotta say, I'm real keen on the 4 min ore start of ozone. When I ran big in the long long ago, carbon filters weren't common and I used ozone. A very elaborate system was engineered to solve the same problem. Yours is so much simpler.

Actualy I did. But since I browse through multiple proxies on my cellphone, YouTube links won't load. But I get the just of what happened:). Gotta say it's the first time I've been rickrolled! Touché.
