That's called 'streaching'. Moving a plant isn't gonna hurt it unless you drop it and it spills all over. Switching lighting won't hurt it. Can't you just tie down the 'leggy' branches?

A problem I ran into a couple times was other people planting too close to one of my plots. My plants were pollinated by theirs. I looked ALL OVER and could never find their plants either so they must have been pretty far away.
