All the regular horticulture and gardening forums that I've been to all say the same thing, that flushing should only be done a last resort.

It totally depends on who you talk to. Myself, I'm of the school that flushing is NG. Edit: I'm not claiming to be an expert.... just a guy that takes a keep it simple, no nonsense approach, that's been successfully gardening for a long time.

If you're killing pot plants, one of the harder plants to kill, you probably shouldn't be growing.

I just cannot understand why someone would go through not just the effort, but the risk of growing, only to have 5 or 6 grams dry product when done. Micro and PC case grows just make no sense to me.

The 23 watt cfl's are the most efficient, producing (roughly) 1600 lumen each. As the wattage goes up, efficiency goes down.

All this performance you think you're getting by removing branches, etc. is really only in your head. Somewhere along the way someone gave you confused advice that you believed and are now putting into practice. Personally, I don't think you know enough yet about horticulture to be telling...

Are these being grown as ornamentals or are these some type of indoor hybrid 'hothouse' tomatoes bred for the shorter light periods? Correct me if I'm wrong, but last time I knew it tomatoes were 'long day' plants. Meaning they need longer than 12 hours of light to grow/produce fruit...
