HEATSINK USA CHARGING MORE FOR SHIPPING THEN ACTUAL HEATSINK VALUE?

I see he would like to go a single bar, must be in Oz. and getting hold of 1m lengths isn't that easy to find here unlike in the USA. I mentioned Fastron but these H42 heat sinks are extremely expensive (190AUD) Per Metre, and they weigh in at a hefty 10Kg per metre. I've made 4 bars with...

where to find a hlg-185-1400b for sale?

Yes. Add 100k potentiometer and 10k resistor in series for the resistive dimming.

HEATSINK USA CHARGING MORE FOR SHIPPING THEN ACTUAL HEATSINK VALUE?

If in Oz. try conrads or fastron. Or Pin heatsinks from cutter.

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

You could do the following as I have it's 3.5W to run these fans and it helps keep the driver temps down nicely. I also found the driver to run almost to hot to touch after 6 odd hours but this solved my problem.

    The far red thread

Nah it's not dead, I've been reading the posts, glad to see you finally have the 730nm emitters up and running finally. I still haven't gotten started on the build for mine yet so you're going well. I assume you'll run these for 10-15 minutes at lights out, I plan to overlap by a few minutes...

    COB Talk

Exactly what I'd discovered by spending hours playing the Product Characterization Tool (PCT). I had built my bars for passive, but upon testing one over 6 hours I found my heat sink temp. getting up to 47c and slightly above with an ambient temp. of 24c. I too would have loved to run these...

Cutter Electronics: Complete DIY COB kits

That's looking very simple and elegant Growmau looking forward to your video's on the build process. I managed to get hold of a couple of the cutter pin heat sinks and built what I call the Gemini using a couple of Mars Drivers that I had from a failed light.

So it's not watts per sq ft with LED's?

And here is what I did with my Mars 2 700 bullsh#t W. And it's a Mars bar now running 4 X CXB 3070 AD 3000K on the Mars drivers @750ma, utilized the heatsinks and plate, wiring, plug, brass hanger points. This light runs so cool it's incredible a mere 2c more than room temp at the back of...

    Never changing the reservoir

Run for full flowering with no change to tank, 100l res. Running through a chiller 24/7 and kept at 18c Max. Each day 3% solution of hydrogen peroxide added, zero smell, zero bugs, zero problems, we've reduced solution ec slightly each grow to prevent salt build up. Lots of bubbling throughout...

    mars hydro

Truth is that a number of us have had very bad experiences with the Mars hydro co. Formerly topledlights.. THEY DON'T HONOUR WARRANTY. it's really that simple so that cheaper than cob light quickly becomes far more expensive when the Mars light fails, seems to be mostly the Mars ii series...

    diy led cob bar potentiometer

One wire to the middle pin and one to either the left or right pin (this will determine clock or anti clockwise rotation of knob increasing or decreasing output)... sorry can't recall which does what... Negative (black) to the outside... Oh and add a resistor to the negative side of 10K so...

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

I've found the same problem, and as such haven't found my best solution yet. I did get a quote from blackburn wires in Sydney for 100M Rolls of 18AWG rated for 300V for I think $135AUD for 1 of black and 1 of red delivered to Melbourne. I even went to Middy's and the guy at the counter looked...

    Heatsinks for DIY LED lamps

I went overly cautious and have 4 CXB3590 cobs running @1400ma on 1000mm lengths, haven't finished building due to other things in life. I could have gotten away with 700mm and still been passive just felt it would be easier to deal with one lump of heatsink rather than multiples into a frame.

    Heatsinks for DIY LED lamps

That's correct and actually the price went up a little in January this year. So I think it's $185 AUD

Is The Mars Hydro a good led?

The Mars 400 that I have has 55-80V 750ma drivers, the Mars 700 has 80-100V 750ma. If you open it up it will have little sticker on one of the drivers stating what they are.

Is The Mars Hydro a good led?

Are you sure about those figures? I'd put it like this 60(diodes) x 5W = 300W(Mars maths) but they are driven @ roughly 60% of there maximum capacity, so yep that's 130W. Well not quite it's actually 180W 180W is not made up of light, I'll be incredibly generous and give them 40% light and...

Is The Mars Hydro a good led?

Actually some of us have used Mars Hydro lights, and yes it's possible to grow huge amounts, can I ask how long you vegged that plant?

Is The Mars Hydro a good led?

That'll draw around 180W of which 70% will be heat so you'll have around 50W of light. That's one sqare foot, and don't expect penetration those are single 3W diodes run at about 50%. So it's really not worth it.
