You're welcome. Some people start their plants at 12/12 and keep them that way until harvest. Smaller yields but more frequent harvests. It would be interesting to find out which system yields more in a perpetual grow setup.

Yeah but this guy had an old fashioned skylight, not a window. I'm getting 5 hours direct sun, but only when I move the plants a few times a day. I'm just wondering why more people don't use skylights. What am I missing?
Seven one gallon pots or seven gallon pots? If they're seven gallon pots just soak the heck out of them before you leave and they should be fine. If they're one gallon pots then you'll need a friend.
As far as illegal searches go things are MUCH worse today than the past. Illegal stops and searches happen thousands of times a day all across the US. The Fourth Amendment died on 9/11.
I would never pay for a 5 gallon pickle bucket, so that seems really high to me. Almost any business will give them to you or charge much less than that.
CFLs have built in ballasts, so you don't have to worry about that. Also, $70 seems high for a "box/dresser". Can't you just buy a plastic storage box? Congrats on cutting the cord.
