    Some random pics to share

Oct 24th came around, they looked ready as far as we could tell... We let the entire plant hang upside down for about 3 or 4 days, then trimmed things down and let dry for about another week In case your wondering, that's about 1.5oz

This is Oct 19th, still pretty close but we decided to take some clones. Really thinned out the plants, I thought they were looking great. The clones all were about a medium size, still young and green but had some length to them

    Some random pics to share

Oct 18th... Only days later I went to the hardware store looking for a piece of furnance ducting to cut in half and make a little reflector. Instead I found flat pieces used to surround your floor joists. Worked perfect. All I needed was tin snips, and a rivet gun

    Some random pics to share

So that was around the beginning of Oct. The clones just started taking off, they grew inches a day it seemed we had to raise our cfls sometimes twice a day to keep up. The ones in flower seemed to be weak, but we assumed this would happen since they were toasted and brought outside to inside...

Those 8 clones had a rocky start, 2 weeks destroyed while the plants reversed from flower. After almost 2 weeks we didn't really see any signs they were rooting. The leaves were green still and they appeared healthy, but they were not getting any bigger. I don't have pics, but we flooded the...

    Some random pics to share

... We obtained a few plants off friends who had left them outside too long and they burned. Just recovering and healing we put them into what we had built so far It was about 2 weeks that the clones were a little odd, it took them a long time to root as they had to come out of flower. So with...

    Some random pics to share

Hey everyone, it's been a long time since I posted on here and after being here for nearly 6 months I've built up quite the collection of pictures along the way. Currently we're on the 3rd grow since our first day. Enjoy some of the memories! Here is how it all began, before anything was...

    Would this work?

I've never ran a 400watt, but I do run 2 600's and without the fans blowing on them they run so hot you can't touch the metal housing. However, only about 6-8 inches away its warm and acceptable. So the heat really fades quick, I run an open reflector with an $8 walmart fan blowing on it and...

    Flowering and noise Question

My plans for noise/fan issues is to pickup a sheet of OSB board for about $8 Then a few 2x4's at about $2.50 a piece Should only need 2 pieces So for under $15 I plan to build a box, like a sub box for your car almost put the fan inside of there, run 2 duct holes and have the input/output all...

how many plants can u put under 2 x 600w hps

Damn it's been a long time since I posted here... What method are you using for your grow? Soil, DWC, buckets, etc Also what type of reflector are you using? How will you be training the plants, letting them go naturally, or maybe scrog or tomato nets?

    First post, first grow!

Bought some more 2x4's, didn't have room in the back of the truck for the plywood though, I forgot to clean out some junk. Built the middle wall, except the plywood of course henleyhaze > Sounds about right. I'm hoping to run the seeds for about 2 months, clip the clones and find the males...

new grow room 250w or 400w hps?

From what I've read you should be able to vent out that 400 watt, but it'll just be something you'll always have to keep your eye on. It's a shame you've only got 4 feet of height though. Easily a foot for the container/pots, a foot for light room/hood. Then you've only got room for a 2 ft...

new grow room 250w or 400w hps?

400 watt is probably going to be too much for that area. However when you buy the HPS you also need the ballast and if you go upto the 400 you'll probably have to rebuy everything. It's a toss up, get the 400 and worry about venting. Or get the 250 and if ever needing to upgrade paying the $$...

Light Proofing My PC Grow box

I used spray insulation just today on my box i'm building. Mine is constructed out of wood, but the foam cuts away all the excess and just fills the gaps. Kinda like brownbread for soundproofing cars. Worked good in my case :)

    fan placement?

Obviously running 2 fans is best, and since PC fans are only like $5ea why not just grab another one? But if 1 is the only solution I recommend blowing the air in. Usually a small amount of air will surround the fan and exhaust out past it, hopefully this will be mostly hot air. I'd put it on...

    First post, first grow!

Yes another update! Ran downstairs to finish off some of the foaming. First time using it was just last night, I learned that you only need about 1/3 of what I thought I might need. It expands in about 2 hrs and when it does its huge. Afterwards I trimmed it with a utility knife, its very...

    First post, first grow!

I'm hoping to run 2 sets of plants on different cycles, and bring them in 1/2 way through. So about every 4-5 weeks it should be harvest time. The setup of the DWC with the pumps and such looks pretty straight forward. I just need to do some more research on when/how to add the nutes and decide...

    First post, first grow!

Feeling a little motivated, I decided to go downstairs and move some things about and put the cabinet in the final resting place. Of course it needs more work but I mocked up the fitting and its looking pretty good! I stuck a rubbermaid I already had lying around just to see how it sits, looks...
