Just a quick update on my grow... I've had to up the hours of light to 20/4 from 18/6 due to the cold weather... Temps inside are reaching mid 20'c and lows of 7'c.. 1 Auto-flower seed never popped its head but the other 7 did.. :-) Clones seam to be doing well, I've to take more Purple...

I think it could be over watering, I have a plant with the same trouble and Im nearly sure its down to over watering... What temps you got there...? Mine is ranging from 11.5c when the light is off up to 27.5c when the light is on which isn't suppose to be too good for the plants cos of such a...

Nice bit of reading that.. Our lamps over here don't need so many amps as we run the higher 240v grid, however it my prove to be more expensive to run than first thought... All this in mind, Id still go for HID lighting where possible and have a powerful air exchange system to keep temps...

Well... First of all... they use less power... your bulb lasts longer... Less noise from the ballast.. Most can run both bulbs (MH & HPS) I have to say id only use cfl for veg and clones, if you really want bud then HID is the only really...

The heat will be fine with that much height, so long you have enough air in and out, better still use a cool tube.... The esb bill will be the same as using two 125cfl but you'll get more and better bud.. I'd defo go for HID...

Best thing I done was get rid of my magnetic ballast and buy digital ones. Although starting off with a 250w security light done the job for €70...... Bargain... Irishmc, I'd go for hps mate instead of another 125 clf, I don't think mixing your bulbs will make that much of a difference...

Well spotted Maul.... It does get a little cool in there at times but by running my lights at night and don't have fans running whilst the light is off, Doing autos at this time of year really suits, I'm running two 250 bulbs which keeps the room warm enough. My shed roof never gets frost on...
