Hi all I was wondering if using mulch on my in ground plants was a good idea to retain moisture and keep roots cool. Also I need to nuke my backyard of pests after the super wet winter we had. Is the granules I put on the ground from lowes ok?

I noticed one of 3 i clipped down from outside has a very weird nasty smell like ammonia or weird vaseline. Almost made me sick to smell it. Went out and squeezed my 3 remaining outdoor plants and they all have the same nasty pungent piss smell but not in a good way. What happened?

Ok everybody i just pulled a few outdoor plants down and have them hanging in my room...no other place to do so but ive noticed my skin and clothes smell like dank which isn't a problem til i have to go to work and can't ditch the stank. Any ideas on how to get the smell off me andmy clothes?
