No wilting. Strong twisting and curling up leaves

Would just giving it a day or two to dry out help? I don't have any tools like that and digging a hole next to it would be the only thing I could really do

The plant itself is big enough to shade it's roots but besides the holes I dug and filled with good soil the rest of the backyard is hard clay and holds heat like crazy. I will throw some mulch around it and see if it helps tho. About 105 degrees right now
