    growing without nutrients

In general when you talk about not giving you plants nutrients, you mean, can you veg and flower without feeding your plants in soil. ( This grower was talking fox farm) great in flower, not so good for early veg as the soil too hot. You need different strengths of soil for different stages in...

Defoliation - removing fan leaves for higher yield

Never tried it and you know it gives you less yield? The biggest problem with defoliate is you need to be a very experienced grower, you really need to understand when to remove leaves and when to leave them, it's one of the most powerful ways to train a plant in veg and flower but has to be...

OK, question about my grow room/tent setup with portable AC unit.

Not sure how this is going to work out, the AC could overheat, drawing in temps as high as 120 and how effective will the AC be at knocking the temps down to 75-80? What's your room temp? You could vent the air from the room(not the flower room) but this will be a larger space to cool down.

OK, question about my grow room/tent setup with portable AC unit.

Do you need to add co2 into your grow room or can you get great results with a good environment? ( keeping temps, humidity and airflow in range) Is it cost effective adding co2 or could the money be spent on a better light, fans etc

    Gelato 41 clones

You want the plants really dry before you chop them, I would even remove all the fan leaves a week before chopping them, you want to get the humidity low (40-50) Humidity lower than 40 will give you dry poor quality buds, same with temps over 25c As you want to dry the buds as quickly as you...

    Indoor vs outdoor reveg differences?

Say you plants getting some light from indoors (cracked fabric) it's likely to be direct and strong on part of a plant less than 1m away, could be on 24h, this would reveg part of the plant or the buds could turn out more airy (depending how strong the light is and how long the lights on and...

OK, question about my grow room/tent setup with portable AC unit.

I have tried something similar in the passed and I could not get an effective way to use a portable AC They use a lot of electricity and give off lots of heat, you need to have a grow tent just for the AC and exhaust the hot air directly out of the tent/house (doing this from your flower room...

Defoliation - removing fan leaves for higher yield

Lucky is spot on and sound like a grower that has experience, over the years I have made mistakes like everyone else, if your canopy is too bushy, the shoots will stretch and the results are not great, thin the canopy out and remove some fan leaves, the shoots have space to breath and they gain...

Could anybody recommend blacked out material to put around tent?

Best example I could find on google I Didn't use the tent, cut all the uprights to the same height ( for me it was 1.8 m) And did the same for the ceiling, add a door and staple the dpm on the outside staple panda on the inside, could add earth wall for installation inbetween the dpm and the...

Could anybody recommend blacked out material to put around tent?

I have done this, I built a basic wooden frame out of CLS and stapled DPM (PROOF MEMBRANE BLACK 1200GA as you need to be very thick and high quality, it will last years )on the ceiling and floor, first and then the walls and the door, easy to cut and this will stop humidity getting inside your...

    Problem 2week

I keep my 250mh about 12" above young plants, Keep the temps between 20-30c The plants need very little food at this stage. My guess, high temps/low humidity or your burning the roots (overfeeding)

Defoliation - removing fan leaves for higher yield

Hi all, just joined this great site. Defoliation works great on some plants but it's for advance growers only, as there little room for error, get it wrong and the results are not good. Think everyone should remove some leaves in flower.
