I don't think 7-7-7 will work for you. You need a "grow" specific nutrient for vegetative cycle and then a "bloom" specific nutrient for the flowering cycle.
For grow you want something like: 7-4-10
For flowering you want something like: 4-8-7
using 7-7-7 across the board will not work...
I use 8 inch pots with 2 inch flanges at the top of them so that they sit well on top of the lid of the reservoir. No chance of them falling through. The water level covers about a 1/2" of the bottom of the pot at the most (when filled to 12 gallons), probably a bit less. But once the plant...
I don't think you want to use your "duck shit tea" as nutrients in your hydro system. If you want easy, then buy some General Hydroponics Flora Micro and Flora Bloom nutes and use the Lucas Formula for your whole grow. It's very simple. And I promise you it will work a hell of a lot better...
And by the way, I could grow that clone all the way through flower to harvest in this reservoir if i wanted. I won't do that because I'll have to add water more often than I do in my larger reservoirs. But, you can do it if any one out there is so inclined. no problem at all!!! :-)
Hello all,
Tonight I needed to transplant a clone. I couldn't put it in a big reservoir yet, so I had to build another 5 gallon res for it. I decided to take pics of the process and post here as sort of an update. I did this one in about 10 minutes. The whole process from building to having...
Hello all,
Tonight I needed to transplant a clone. I couldn't put it in a big reservoir yet, so I had to build another 5 gallon res for it. I decided to take pics of the process and post here and in my other thread about building 5 gallon res fast and cheap. I did this one in about 10...
really good question. after all this time, you're the first to ask. :-)
Any ways, here's what I do:
I just lift the lids up from the top of my reservoirs and turn them sideways a little bit. It'll rest there no problem and leave a open area. I have a pump with about 20 feet of 1/2" tubing...
Sorry to hear that you don't get any replies to your threads... Usually people here are happy and willing to help. It's a great community for the most part! :-)
Anyways, I will be happy to help you in any way that I can, and I will answer your questions to the best of my abilities. I'm sure...
Glad I was able to help you save some cash, clover!!! Take it easy and stop by any time. This thread is my un-official grow joural. I update it with pics every couple days. I will continue all the way through flowering and harvest! :-) stop by anytime or even subscribe if you'd like. It...
well at second look i see that the leaves have a little discoloration at the tips. Yeah, possible mg def... Not sure. I'm sure that you will get'er under control. Keep us updated with pics, bro. I'll check back every now and then...
Hey there topher. I think someone on my thread said you had a pH problem or a nute deficiency. I'm not sure you have either. So what that the bottom leaves turned color. That's pretty standard on new clones... Your new growth very healthy. The leaves are reaching for the lights, a good...
Yep totally cheap. But that's why i use tubing...no clogs and no replacements.. Not that it's hard to change the stones out. I'm just lazy I guess, lol!! :-) Just glad to hear that you got all your issues worked out!!
Hahahah. yeah dude, I'm shocked at the bubble action I get in my 5 gallon reservoir too! Kicks ass doesn't it!?! I'm stoked that it worked well for you!!! I hope you produce huge plants and mass bud, bro!!!

I will answer all the other posts in a while. I think I need a couple b-loads...
I never realized that fim'ing could cause a stunted growth issue, but it makes sense. I've never really understood how to do it quite right any way. How are you supposed to remove just a portion of the growing node instead of topping??? I don't quite get it. hahah.
Well you know me, I don't...
Just to make sure you understand, I do NOT add nutes daily. Only fresh water.
I mix up 12 gallons of water with the nutes. I use 8ml micro / gallon of water, and 16ml bloom / gallon of water.
Then I do like I said in the previous post. I wait for them to drink 12 gallons of water, or 2...
What I do is pretty simple. I don't give my girls a fresh batch of nutes until they've drank 12 gallons of fresh water, or until it's been 2 weeks, which ever comes first. Right now my girls are drinking about a gallon of water a day, so they get a fresh batch of nutes every 12 days. I don't...
