It depends what the ashes are from... some are acidic, some are alkaline(usually they are 'polar'). Pot creates acidic ash, I'm pretty sure(it's a fairly acidic loving plant). I'd suggest mixing it with water and measuring/adjusting the pH as necessary.

It depends on your light type. Lumens are not comparable between different light sources, as they emit completely different spectrums and different intensities per wavelength.

I mist my plants if they seem haggard and woe-begone. Have a fan going though, as it'll evaporate the dew rapidly. Otherwise it's a bad idea, as it'll remain for several hours, and could promote mold/rot.
