    Switching Lights to Save electricity?

PAR and lumens somewhat overlap... However, a very high lumen output could have a very low PAR output(LPS, for instance), and vice versa. However, HPS, CMH, LEDs, and fluoros do both of these. You say lumens are for humans. I say if lumens matter so much, go pick up an LPS and make a grow...

    drying question

Get a dehumidifier, or one of those food driers(essentially the same thing as a dehumidifier). The weed will taste quite green, though. And will be fairly harsh.

    brobz

Usually(especially when they're smaller) they're fattest in the 'center'(height-wise) of the plant, thinning out both downwards and upwards.

Does Anyone Know How To Pass Police Urine Test?

The answer is simple. Dilute your specimen. Any liquid you drink helps. Half a gallon or so should do it. If that sounds retarded... I'll assume you have never read a specimen release form.

CFLs 68watts(300 equivalent)?? is this true?

And a 23w is 1600 lumens... times 3... 69w = 4800 lumens. So, you can get those extra lumens using approximately the same wattage.

    Switching Lights to Save electricity?

I'm not following your dissection of my statements. I'm referring to the ratio, yes. PAR/lumen, calculating this for the bulbs... the fluoro would have a higher number... meaning it's more efficient at producing PAR than solely lumens. Lumens per watt or LM/W is called the luminous efficacy...

    Switching Lights to Save electricity?

All fluoros emit more PAR per lumen than any HID. Anyways, HO T5's can pump out over 100 LM/w. Which puts MH to shame(especially because T5's also last longer!). Google it? LEDs do not have to be high wattage, they are extremely directional light sources(like flash lights), heck, you don't...

    Blue Vs White.... which?

Yes, they work fine for vegetative growth, those lights are typically used to grow aquatic plants. And provide artificial sun light for fish.

I'd probably run fluoro tubes vertically(in the four corners, maybe one down the middle) in that small space.

    Switching Lights to Save electricity?

Actually. That's not always true. Some fluoro bulbs surpass MH efficiency (especially the lower wattage HID bulbs, like 250 and below). While CFLs are most efficent at lower wattages(13 to about 42 actual watts). HID is most efficient at very high wattages(600-1000W). And after a year, an...

    Switching Lights to Save electricity?

You'd half to provide proper coverage of the 'hemisphere' of the plant. But yes, you could easily exceed a 400w HID by doing so, and also be using more wattage. You still have to deal with properly reflecting the light though. Which is not such a big problem with LED's, as they are highly...

That was a suggestion to start out. Figuring half them die(by your or otherwise). That's 2x the space for new pots to transplant into. But having as many as possible initially will ensure as many as possible choice plants make it to flower. Which could increase yield significantly.

How many watts before u are watched

Central AC 2000-3500 watts. In-window (medium to large) AC, another 1000-1400 watts. Electric stove/ovens can peak around 4000-4500 watts. Electric water heater, another peak 3800 watts. Don't worry unless you're pulling significantly more wattage than these.

    Dad passed away, Plant problem?

It's not a big deal, your plant's maturation time will likely be extended by a week or two -tops. No reason to start over, just get it back to solid 12/12 as soon as you can.

mh 250w 4000k, is this ok for veg

Another concept to consider is the inverse decay of light. In simple terms, for every doubling of distance, there is 1/4th the amount of intensity. So, comparing a CFL that is 3 inches away from a plant, compared with an HID that's 1 foot away. Or 3"*2*2=12" means, roughly 1/4*1/4=1/16th...
